ooooh i just finished a fake* craft fair, i have all this dead time!
now i can try and make one.

thanks starlene! i just thought what if it opens like a book? the over-alls closure like a diary lock.
woah! possibilites there, ie. theme book* bags.
ive been trying to work on straps that are like a back pack but a number 8 on its side, the cross section of the 8 on your back and yer arms go thru the loops.. but i need to put a strap across the front of the chest to make it...

thanks again ill post pics eventually. im so low tech i have to wait for film

thats a great first attempt! 3 colors is hard. i hate registering- my many colored drawings would always look like optical illusions. haha even if its not what i intended.
acrylic paint dries fast and may clog your screen. theres water base permanent fabric paint which i like better than anything else coz i can just use water to clean it up. and it doesnt smell (too bad)...

great job!

520  CANADA / British Columbia / Re: Spending the summer in Vancouver... on: April 15, 2005 04:08:40 PM
oh vancouver!

east van. its the only place to be in this small city (central).
my suggestions for cheap places:
1.Commercial drive area- great for new landees (lots of cheap apartments plus young freshness organic drive- lesbian district as opposed to downtown davie st.- gay male district)
2.Main St. area from 7th-30th... main street hipsters as oppsed to commercial drive hippies. good cheap hoods include mount pleasant. also check around fraser as there are too many cheap apartment buildings with a great view.
3.Strathcona- old china town, great neighboorhood but ive never lived there.

im a student at emily carr (that art school) and cheap rent for me is anything including utilities that is under 500$. and i was raised VERY well so im not talking about rat-hell holes, im talking nice, clean reasonably priced apartments.

to find a place- check message boards at coffeee shops along commercial or main st., at emily carr on granville island, near the market and in campus there are extensive message boards with job postings too.

hope this helps.
i hate landing ignorant!
