Those turned out pretty - I love the colors...I wish I were better with colors.

I didn't mention that did I? They are really inexpensive to make. Smiley Five dollars in materials will make at least five wreaths. Smiley

Here's the link:

Very pretty by the way. The Ren fair just started here last weekend and these look way nicer than some of the ones they were selling.

Thanks for redirecting looney bin escape...I should have done that myself.

These are really neat!  I've decided to make my room sign at school with my name and subjects taught out of these.

Wow! I am flattered. Thanks for telling me!

My Mom used to have me do something similar to this except we didn't use stencils, she had me cut out the silhouettes of various things to use for my collages. I don't remember what kind of silhouettes they were. Probably horses. However, the girls aren't too handy with scissors (K is too little anyhow).

cute! and the bells are pretty awesome. talk about fairy-like.

but out of curiosity, your username isn't after the Mary Bell, is it? because that's not something I'd associate with someone who made nice wreaths for their daughters. it'd be kind of creepy, actually.

No, I was using Mary Bell as my user name for over a year when I googled the name and discovered the 'Mary Bell.' Before then, I had never heard of her. I spent the whole evening reading articles and information about her and was thoroughly creeped out. I should probably change my username here at Crafster. I've changed it on most forums and sites I frequent but I haven't here.

I got sick of stupid wreaths falling apart and decided to make some for my girls that would last. This is the first one I made.

I made three more like it. One for my littlest one and two for the daughters of a friend in England.

Then I started adding bells. I made one for a different friend and six for my daughter's preschool teacher.

I've made two more to give to my girls at my oldest daughter's birthday. The first ones didn't have bells and I thought they might like tinkly ones. The original ones still look great (I made them at the beginning of January).

I also made a jingle bracelet.

I moved this to the proper forum thread I must have had my head in the sand yesterday. Thanks for the comments and the notice. Melissa
20  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / husband's cargo shorts into tote (six exterior pockets!) on: August 03, 2007 01:42:44 PM
It took me a bit to figure out how to make the lining work as I wanted so after making friends with my seam ripper more than once - it is a bit rough looking and so I over-compensated and it is a tad bit ugly - next time will be better. Smiley
