1  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Sewing with Leather on: September 02, 2012 07:23:25 AM
Hi There, I've recently been very inspired by some of the amazing leather projects on this site and I'm eager to have a go myself. Would it be possible to sew leather on my machine? It's nothing fancy. I've seen some linen thread but it says it's only suitable for hand sewing. Anyone got any advise? Thank you for looking!
2  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Sewing with sweatshirt material on: June 25, 2012 05:26:42 AM
Hi
I was looking for some advice, I'm doing a project which involves sweatshirt material (which I have never sewn with). Should I be using a strech needle in my machine? Also what sort of stitch should I use? I've tried a zig zag but I've unpicked it all as the stictches just seem too visable and loose. Is it a tension problem? Help!!
Katy
