11  Re: Octopus Overload!! My Tentacle Facination w/ tute! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by Cloverlilly on: October 16, 2011 01:05:56 AM
I love these, and thank you for putting up a tutorial. I'm ptty new to clay still and have been wanting to try making an octopus but it seemed so intense and this way you get the tentacles without worrying about the rest of the body.

So I made one, I kind of like it, but it's a little too pushed together so learned something for next time. Also, I used a round glass charm, so I wouldn't have to worry about attaching a holding for it. Here's a picture.

It's black and pink but the colors didn't come out very well in the picture.

Again thank you for posting this, it got me over my fear...though for some reason mine looks more like a frog than an octopus haha gotta work on tentacle placement...never thought I would say that haha

12  Skull and Crossbones Cameo in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by Cloverlilly on: October 11, 2011 11:42:41 PM
Hi, so I'm a part of one of the Halloween swaps and got my package today, in it was an awesome skull and crossbones cameo mold, which I was just too happy to get and didn't waste any time using.

I've made four, the pictures aren't great sorry only have my iPad at the moment. The first one is mine and the other three are just there haha. It was also my first time using a mold so I'm pretty happy with it Smiley

I used premo accent clays for this one, it is two different clays which wasn't as hard as I thought it would be

The black and white as well as the pink and white are bake shop and the red and black are premo and bake shop.

The pink and white one is also painted, the white part which I may do from now on with some.

C&C Welcome and thanks for looking.

13  Re: Halloween Stuff a Small Priority Mail Box Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Cloverlilly on: October 11, 2011 03:53:55 PM
Ok, so I have to say first off that this is one of the best packages I've ever gotten! Jennden got me and it really shows!

So let's start with the whole group. So much awesomeness Smiley

Some crafting stuff, a cat patch, skull buttons..I think they are buttons, Halloween paper clips, Halloween cloths pins, pumpkin bells and an awesome horror monster magnet(which is already in my fridge). When I pulled the package out Of my mail box, I heard the bells and was so worried something had broken haha

A really cute stamp with the stamping block (thank you, I don't have one so it makes it easier) and an awesome zombie sticker

Two clay molds, a skeleton key and skull cameo, now I don't remember if I put it in the app but I'm pretty sure I didn't, I love and collect skeleton keys and cameos so these were like icing on the cake and some yellow clay.

This and the molds are fighting as my favorite thing at the moment haha it's a hand painted box with zombies...have I mentioned that I love zombies?
The out side

And the inside, which has a set of black light cards inside that have funny faces. I know I'm using the word a lot but it's awesome! My friends and family are big on playing cards so it fits right in.

Also, the bandana that everything is laying on came with it and I love it!

Thank You so so so much Jennden Cheesy

The inside of my tin, it's horses for the dothraki, the edges which I couldn't get a good picture of say Dothraki, Drogo and Dany

The bottom/outside. This is one of my favorite sayings.

The inside of an awesome card!

15  Game of Thrones-Lannister sigil in Needlework: Completed Projects by Cloverlilly on: September 21, 2011 05:44:44 PM
So I made this for the game of thrones ott swap. It's a bookmark with magnets on the inside, this was my first time turning a cross stitch into something like, learned what I will do different next time. It was also my first time using satin floss, it's a pain but pretty when  it's done Smiley

Close up

Next time I think I'll cut the cross stitch canvas and incase it in a fabric that goes with whatever the cross stitch might be. It's cross stitch and back stitch, and I would say it took me about 5/6 hours. The pattern was one I made and have since have made ones for all the other houses haha it will be a big but fun project.

C&C Welcome and thanks for checking it out.

16  Team Eric needle case in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Cloverlilly on: September 14, 2011 07:54:54 PM
Another little bit of True Blood goodness. My partner and I had a love for Eric in common so making stuff having to do with him was a lot of fun. I made this case as I went, did try it out on in another fabric which I ended up giving to a friend who knits.

The front, the letters are done in with iron on velvet, amazing stuff. I had never used it before but I fell in love with it.

The inside, there is clear vinyl in the top to hold the needles in, also there is a little zipper pocket for the notions, stitch counters and what not. There are 7 or 8 long needle slots than two (in the red) for round needles (is that what they are called? You can tell I don't knit haha)

A close up of the zipper pocket. It's meant to fold back into the case when it's closed.

17  Ereader case fang style in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Cloverlilly on: September 13, 2011 10:59:11 PM
This was another bit from the true blood swap, my partner said she would like a case for her Sony reader. I had wanted to do one of the cases that are like books but no one I knew had one and was worried about getting the measurements right so I did a sleeve one and was pretty happy with how it turned out. She also said the red and black were her favorite color combo so I went with that.

The back, or front depending on how you look at it

And the snap with a bit of the lining fabric

Her picture with the reader inside

18  Diaper bag set in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by Cloverlilly on: September 13, 2011 10:40:11 PM
Hi again, finally getting around to posting all my backed up stuff Smiley

So this is a set I made for a friend. Her pregnancy was a difficult one, she was on bed rest the last two months of at and we never got to do a baby shower, so this sat around till a month or so after the baby girl was born. Thankfully everything worked out fine and she is a strong little girl now!

On to the set, I don't have slot of pictures, just one main so I'll go left to right.
At the bottom right is a Wet sipe bag, behind it is a tummy pillow, the small bag onto of that is a toy bag, there is a changing pad, a burping cloth, the diaper bag and a bib. Oh and attached to the bag is a binky holder. Woooo

The whole set took me abbut three days, it's a light weight cotton on the outside and a heaver weight brown on the inside, the changing pad and burp cloth have a towell that I cut apart on the underside.

So here is the happy girl, this picture made everything that went wrong when sewing this set worth wild!!!!!!

19  Owl blanket and tummy pillow in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by Cloverlilly on: September 13, 2011 10:27:16 PM
So my cousin and his wife just had their first baby, and I had made all the other cousins baggies gifts and hopped right on doing one for them. I used a no sew fleece blanket kit that I got on sale at joanns to make these. Owls are one of my favorites so that won me over Cheesy

The tummy pillow with toys attached, great sensory toys. Oh and the color is truer in this one than the blanket

The blanket

They had a lovely baby girl by the way.

20  Merlotte's bookmark in Needlework: Completed Projects by Cloverlilly on: September 13, 2011 10:13:01 PM
Hi all Cheesy
So I made this bookmark for the trueblood swap, it was going to be sewn onto a hand towel but things didn't work out that way haha
It's cross stitched and half stitched, I used a program to make the pattern though it wasn't an easy on. It took me about four days.
Side note and something learned, never use super glue on a cross stitch! That's what the dot is you see at the bottom.
I wrapped it in vinyl to protect it from wear. It was my first time turning a cross stitch into anything so I learned a few things Smiley

Close up, sorry the pictures were done with my phone so they aren't great
