Hi everyone I don't know who is still following this thread but I am going to post the awesome stuff that  mermaidcafe and my ANGEL atsuko sent me. Here is the package from mermaidcafe. She sent me a beautiful blue/green scarf and 2 pins to keep it on. As you can see one of them has already made it's way onto my favorite hat. she also sent a stack of paper. yay!

From atsuko i received an adorable pea pod pendant and twinkie chan's crochet book. I didn't know how much i needed this one until i got it. i made the hat for my daughter's 5th birthday from the book.

Thank you ladies sooo much! It made  my weekend!

So I received from the fabulous kartiana today and she spoiled me big time! She sent me a medium flat rate box chock full of stuff. I may have to leave some Advil in the mailbox for our mail lady because this thing was so heavy!

First up look at the amount of scrapbook paper she sent me! (all you scrappers know you are jealous!)

Then all of this paper reclaimed from books. I am going to be able to use most of it for wreaths this christmas and there are a few photos that are going to be framed and go right on our walls!

Next we have patterns 5 in all! I have been looking  for animals and tote bag patterns for a while and haven't found anything I like thank you!

And finally Fabric!!! do you see the one that is pink and green with the bears on it! Yeah that piece has to be at least 3 yards! Ooooh I see some baby stuff in my future!

Thank you Kartiana I love all of it and I really needed a great package right now..

p.s. plaidpineapple your package is at the post office just waiting for 5pm to be scanned I'll get your confirmation # to you in a little bit!

4  October SNOW what the F$&^! in Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Completed Projects by jamiek79 on: October 30, 2011 09:06:28 AM
So last night mother nature (the B#%$^) dropped 13" of snow at our house. We decided that we needed to be craft outside today. This is what my 6 year old and I came up with. Yeah it is October 30th and no we do not live at the North Pole although my kids told me that Santa could move in next door because we now have snow for his sleigh and reindeers. We live in New Hampshire and we love to ski but this is RIDICULOUS. Just a little side history note. The highest recorded snowfall in the northeast for the month of October is 2.2" yeah we kinda beat that record there.

The two year old in the yard yelling "help, help, I tuck, I tuck"

I made the hat too. (That is how I justify this pic)

So after a weekend of not being able to wrestle my DH off the computer I am here to show you all the wonder of what will be part of my tree! I love them all but the little red snowperson on the bottom right is my favorite!

Then she went and spoiled me with all of this goodness. The red fabric is something like pul but more shiny. Any ideas out there on what I can do with it?? The two fabrics in the middle go together very nicely and I see a project bag for my aunt in the future for that fabric.

Lastly a bunch of paper. I have a weekend crop coming up in the beginning of Novermber and these will work quite nicely.

Gamemom you rock thank you sooo much!

So I received last week from the wonderful rlynn! She made me a trash bag for my dad's truck!

If you look at the inside you can see that she made it so that a grocery bag can fold over the lining to make it easy to take the trash out and to protect the fabulous fabric she used! It matches my Dad's truck to a tee!

Then she went and made me this fabulous cuff.

I haven't taken it off since I got it. Well maybe once or twice when I showered or did dishes. Pardon all the scratches and scars on my hand it was a really rough week at work  Angry

rlynn thank you so much! I love it all!

Hi everybody!
I got my package from the_essence today!!!! So super excited she did such a fantastic job and this was her first swap!

There were 2 of these notes. One from Professor Flitwick and the other from Mr. & Mrs. Flood of Honeydukes. They are Awesome!

The note with the bracelet reads (in a nutshell):
Official Hogwarts House Merchandise
Official Ravenclaw Charm Bracelet with:
Star: to represent the stars found on the ceiling of the Ravenclaw common room. Wand: key to life at Hogwarts. Teapot: Because not only are Ravenclaws sophisticated, but at Hogwarts, you do not wake up in the morning with coffee, but with tea. Diadem: to represent the diadem of Rowena Ravenclaw. Destiny: it is an individual's destiny to be chosen by a certain house. Portrait: a portrait of Rowena Ravenlcaw. Butterfly: everyone knows that ravenclaws are smart, but many forget, until they meet Luna Lovegood, that Ravenclaws are also some of the most unique students at Hogwarts. Book: to represent the emphasis on school and how the password to the ravenclaw common room is a riddle. Silver Chalice: for use in potions, also mentioned in the tales of Beedle the Bard. O: for Outstanding, because Ravenclaw students can often be found at the top of their class!

These 2 paintings are really gorgeous! The pictures were "taken" by Collin Creevy for the Hogwarts Yearbook. The picture was taken at an evening practice session of charms. They both have a silver metallic sheen to them!

These are totally hysterical. Theses and the 2 paintings are going to find homes in my craft room where I can look at them tons and tons!

I forgot to put the earrings in the pic with the bracelet but I think you can see them better here. These candle holders are adorable LOVE them!

Last but certainly not least my Honeydukes coffee/tea cozie... it says Accio Brain. Funny this is just how I see coffee. It brings me back my brain in the morning! Did you see the adorable lollies and candies around the bottom and I think she made the button from clay to look like a huge lollie.

the_essence Thank you so much you are a wonderful crafter. I had a ball in this swap and I love my stuff so much. hopefully you will get yours soon. USPS says that you should have it!  Great job with your first swap!

10  Oh how disasters can spoil the best laid plans! in The Swap Gallery by jamiek79 on: September 19, 2011 08:26:21 AM
So I am finally able to get to the post office this morning with PFD's goodies! It has just been one disaster after another this week. Babalina still has me beat but I don't really want to compete in this game anymore. My DD#2 who is 2 got stung by a bee in between the eyes and with the last allergic reaction we had I didn't want to stray too far from home in case. Then the kids and the dog were playing in the yard and the dog jumped up and scratched her face. All of this in like 20 minutes Saturday when I was supposed to be packaging and putting PFD's bag in the mail. Everyone is fine although they don't look fabulous at the moment. Now her package is all ready to go and we are heading in a bit for the post. Sorry this has taken so long I feel terrible!

And the munchkids with their swollen little faces  Cry  Pardon the junk on the little one she just finished snack. She hates to have her face wiped so I am procrastinating!
