1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / How do I do this? on: June 15, 2010 08:39:23 PM
http://www.etsy.com/listing/48776732/free-shipping-worldwide-blue-butterfly

This gorgeous print, I want to make something similar for my sister who adores butterflies. How can I go about making the image look like that? I know Ive read on here somewhere about transferring the image with contact paper and thats what makes it somewhat transparent? Can someone explain that process to me a little bit, I dont really understand it, lol. Thank you!
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) / First attempt at an ATC...LOST tribute on: May 16, 2010 05:41:47 PM

nothing fancy, but i just moved and i have none of my craft supplies with me yet. i went to the dollar tore down the street and bought a $1 watercolor set and some posterboard, haha  Cheesy either way, i hope you like it. its a tribute to my new obsession with LOST.

edit...oh, and the edges curled because of the watercolor but im going to put it under a few books to flatten it out tonight Smiley
3  COOKING / Dessert / Your best bread pudding recipe? on: April 21, 2010 09:37:31 AM
I have a special someone who loves bread pudding. Specifically the plain old cinnamon and sugar variety. Of course, when searching on the internet its near impossible to get a straightforward, simple bread pudding recipe! Everything includes raisins or other fruits and nuts. While I would love a bread pudding packed with fruit, this picky eater wouldnt touch it. Any suggestions from experience?  Cheesy
4  Ohio / Ohio: Southwest / SPRINGFIELD CRAFTERS UNITE on: April 16, 2010 08:26:23 AM
That was dramatic. But I was just wondering if theres anyone around here who is crafty! There are so many garage/yard sales around here...I cant wait to dig in.
5  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Anyone know of a 'good' beauty forum? on: January 19, 2008 01:03:00 PM
Im never sure if I can post certain things in this forum. So I was wondering, does anyone know of an actual Beauty Forum that isnt completely overrun with ads and non-functioning mods?

Edit: I just wanted to edit this and say that Im not saying this forum isnt 'good', haha. I thought maybe that might be taken the wrong way.  Cheesy  I think you get what I mean!

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Ian Curtis (Joy Division) Photoshop Boredom on: December 11, 2007 09:18:59 AM

Its not great (a very grainy photo made things even worse), but I do love Ian and I think that it looks quite nice on my desktop.
8  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Suggest New Boards and New Features / [SOLVED] Better search feature? on: November 16, 2007 10:46:28 PM
It might be a stretch - but now that Craftster is only getting bigger (by the minute) maybe we could integrate a more advanced search? Maybe  something that can eliminate certain boards from your search (or in some cases you may know what board it was in originally but its escaping you somehow!). Just a suggestion  Cheesy
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Make something for YOURSELF this Christmas Craft-a-long! on: November 15, 2007 05:30:56 PM
So Im ambitious this year and Im actually going to attempt to make myself some things for myself for once (wrapped and all)! Heres my list:

  • Sewing machine cover
  • MP3 player cozy
  • Pretty bookmarks
  • A plush  Cheesy
  • Pillow from this amazing fabric I have been saving forever.

Anyone interested?  Cheesy[/list]
10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Ninja pillows/plushies on: November 14, 2007 07:38:32 PM

(kinda blurry, sorry!)

close up of the little guy.

The two bigger ones could be considered pillows but I guess in a way they will never actually act as pillows, so they are more like armless/legless plushes!  Cheesy

p.s. i got the original idea from a blog that i lost the link for! if anyone knows it, let me know.  Cheesy
