2  Reconstructed T-shirt ----> Pencil skirt in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Aimerette on: April 10, 2005 12:46:40 PM
I made this slip-on pencil skirt from an old big t-shirt.  The waistband is the collar and i cut off the sleeves and sewed up the sides.

Sorry for the terrible see-through pics...but i had the roughest time trying to take the pics of myself with the webcam!

This is my first t-shirt recon and i am pretty happy with it.  It is super comfy and perfect for hot summer days!!!!!

3  How would you make a flower pin like this????? in Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions by Aimerette on: April 08, 2005 03:35:21 PM
I bought this flower pin at a mardi gras fair in Kelowna, BC a couple years ago and I love it so much.  It is made from a real pressed flower that has been coated in some kind of clear varnish(?).  I usually wear it on a silver hoop.

I would love to try making one...any ideas?Huh??

4  Teacup Candles in Mother's Day by Aimerette on: April 06, 2005 06:31:02 PM
I found this idea on Martha's website and thought I would give it a try for Mother's day. this is my first candle-making experience but it turned out to be really easy.

My mom is a tea addict so she is going to LOVE IT!

The link to the project is below, but if for some reason it doesn't work then try searching for the project..it's called "Teacup Lights"

5  Polkadot purse and Marilyn Bag-MY FIRST POST!!!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Aimerette on: April 06, 2005 06:22:12 PM
Hi Everyone!

This is my first post so I hope the pics turn out. Sorry there are so grainy...i just have access to a web cam.

I made the polkadot bag out of my roomie's old lab coat and some ribbon i bought at Michaels for a dollar.  I used the Jordy bag tutorial...which was so amazingling easy to follow.  The lining is an old skirt i have outgrown.

For the second bag I used a plastic beach bag i bought from Value Village and pics from a Marilyn book I bought there too.  I just glued the photos in and then sewed them in with the lining i made from some scrap fabric.

I would love some feedback!!!
