I was sick on Monday, and had about 6 hours of alone time. After getting bored of watching daytime television, I decided to make a skirt. i salvaged up a pair of pants, and two black skirts and cut, sewed, and sewed again. I did it all by hand! The pictures arent very good quality, but lemme know what you think please:) And sorry about the mess in the background. My parents hate the fact Im not a very organized person...

3  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Where to buy agar-agar in Canada? on: July 10, 2005 07:56:55 AM
Hello, I am on a misson to find some agar-agar (a gelatin replacment made from sea-weed [i think]) I don't want to buy it online, but if I have to I will. I live about 25 minutes from Toronto, and I'm looking for a store that sells agar-agar. I've tried a couple of health food stores, including GNC. Please, please can somebody tell me where I can buy it??

5  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Pokemon! ^_^ on: June 18, 2005 08:16:59 AM
I found some of my old Pokemon (yes, I was a huge Pokemon nerd) cards, and I want to creatively display them in a purse/bag. I was thinking maybe a clutch-type thing. Any ideas?
6  COOKING / Dessert / Marshmellows minus the animal by-products on: June 15, 2005 10:31:44 AM
I noticed some on PETA.org's store. Anybody tried them? Are they worth my money?

And- is there such thing as gelatin without animal by-products? If so, where can I get them? (I live in Canada)

7  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / ouch. on: June 15, 2005 06:12:55 AM
yesterday i went to paramount canadas wonderland (great place- went on my first rollar coaster EVER yesterday!) i was having so much fun i forgot to reapply sunscreen. now, i have a horrible burn on my shoulders and face. its so bad, my parents let me stay home because it hurts to move. i've tried aloe-vera plant leaves, vaseline aloe-vera lotion, vaseline, cold clothes, etc to make the hurt go away. ive heard about milk soothing burns (the lactic acid helps) and that will be my next endeavor, after the oatmeal bath (it soothed my chickenpox 7 years ago,so my logic is, maybe it will soothe my burn) im about to have. anyone have any tips to soothe my red,red skin?

believe me, ive learned my lesson about SPF!
8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / Evil frizzy hair. on: June 12, 2005 04:39:52 PM
I have very thick wavy, brunette hair, and where I live, its becoming VERY humid, and hot. Nice to have warm weather, NOT nice to have frizzy hair. Anyways, does anyone know of a product/tip to reduce frizz? Does John Frieda's "Frizz-Ease" really work? Ive been too chicken to spend $10 on a small bottle of it.
9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / Surprise Baby Shower-Thrown at last! on: May 13, 2005 04:32:43 PM
Heylo All!
My science teacher, who is my favourite teacher this year, is pregnant! My friend(s) and I have decided to plan a surprise baby shower at the end of the year(she isnt due until July 26th), we've already planned two successful surprise parties for past teachers, but we need some tips none-the-less. I think it would be cool to have a party with a theme, but we need some ideas! Anyone care to lend an idea?
Spanx a bunch,

P.S: not that this matters, but my teacher has this weird love of e-woks(sp?)..i have no idea how to incorperate this into the party, BUT it would be nice if I could.

P.P.S: we are a bunch of thirteen years with limited funds and time (we've got 4 major projects to work on!) just pretty please take that into consideration:)

UPDATE: Okay the shower is tommorow. I need some baby shower games to keep the class busy. One kid is bringing in DanceDanceRevolution (best game ever!) but other than that, we have nothing. Anyone have some quick, easy baby related shower games they could share? Spanx:P
