1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My first quilling project :) on: April 17, 2010 03:43:53 PM
I just started quilling on Thursday after buying a Klutz book on the subject at Michael's, haha Smiley  This is a Mother's Day card for my mom:

The sand is real!  Cheesy
2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Post Secret Swap Round 2! on: December 14, 2007 07:08:13 AM
I have lots of pictures to post, but when I was taking pictures of the cards, I dropped my camera on the kitchen floor on its lens, which got jammed. Sad  I ordered a new camera from Circuit City last night, and I will be picking it up in the store today...  So, I should have pictures soon! Smiley
3  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Post Secret Swap Round 2! on: November 29, 2007 01:26:51 PM
I forgot to post mine yesterday, so now I have 6.

This one didn't have a number, so that person probably needs to contact the organizer. Smiley:

I giggled about this one because I do the same thing!  I feel like if my hands are doing something, I must not be lazy. Wink

This one broke my heart...

The front says, "I'm not sure I could handle him being gone for a year or more.  I need him.  And I'm a really good worrier.  I know there are many other women waiting at home for their soldiers...  they're so strong.  Could I be?" and "I'm scared." in the corner.

The back says, "And I know the man I sent to war would not be the same as the one I get back.  Could he handle it?"

I admire the women who are so strong.  I pray for the soldiers and their loved ones every night, and I'll pray for the sender of this postcard, as well.

Congratulations to the sender of this card!

This one made me sad too.  I hope that you are able to find student loans or scholarships so that you can follow through with your dreams.

I can't imagine how hard it would be to be in that kind of living situation.  That must have been hard to confess, too!

This one was so pretty, and she has such nice handwriting:

It says "Diary" on the front, and it opens like a book.

"When I write in my diary, I conveniently skip over writing about things I don't like about myself or things I'm embarassed about."

"So then I end up being ashamed twice. Once for the original thing and once for omitting it."

That's why I don't have a diary or a blog. Smiley  I'm the same way.

Thank you all for sharing your secrets with me! <3
4  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Post Secret Swap Round 2! on: November 28, 2007 11:08:26 AM
It's amazing how many of these resonate with me, and it seems with other people, too.  We're not as alone as we think.

I got 4 today!  I will post them in a bit, as I'm on my way out.  I've been saving the cancelled stamps from the envelopes, because there are some charities who collect those (you can Google to find some).  I figured I might as well, since I'll be received so many! Smiley

I've received two so far! Smiley

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Is Ravelry impacting your Craftster use? on: November 07, 2007 07:05:28 AM
I think for the first few days, I played on Ravelry more than Craftster...  You know, kind of like when you're a kid, and you get a new toy. Smiley  But now, I'm back to using them both equally...  And like others have said, I use them for different things. Smiley
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Easy to Knit with Yarn on: October 10, 2007 05:26:09 AM
I learned with Paton's Classic Merino, and it worked well.  It wasn't as "slippery" as some acrylics, imo.  I also used bamboo needles.

When I move next year, I am definitely doing this!  This is a spectacular idea!
9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: Star Books! The TUTORIAL! (Wordy w/Loads of pics) on: October 05, 2007 11:53:02 AM
This is awesome.  I think I'm going to use this to write thank you notes to my bridesmaids!  Thanks for sharing it with us!
10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Selling Crafts on Etsy.com / Re: Need a critique of your Etsy shop? This is the place! on: October 05, 2007 09:45:32 AM
kaymadben - I LOVE your designs!  Those are the cutest little girl dresses I have ever seen!  I love your pattern and the prints...  They're just adorable.  If I had a little girl (and as much as I love kids, I hope I don't for about another 5 years), I would DEFINITELY buy one for her.

I'm not an Etsy seller, just a shopper...  But I agree with the previous poster about filling in your bio.  It's nice to know a little bit about who I'm buying from. Smiley  Also, you might want to tell what kind of fabric the dresses are made of, whether it's machine washable, etc.  I know you put some of that in the description at the top, but try putting it in the item description, too.  I didn't see it in the top description at first.

Also, I think you may just be in the wrong season with them.  They're beautiful, summery dresses, but fall is upon us and winter will be coming soon.  Do you have any designs for those seasons? Smiley

Definitely add some favorites.  Maybe consider purchasing some items if there are things you've had your eye on, so you have some feedback, even if it is buyer feedback. Smiley
