2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Discussion and Questions / Fitting without Extra Hands on: October 22, 2011 05:08:22 PM
I don't know anyone around here that can help me fine-tune the fit of something.  Does anyone have ideas for fitting without having a person to help you?

I also don't have a dress form or anything like that.  Soon, I'm going to be helping my 9 year old with her first projects so that hopefully in a few years, I'll have a helper, but til then....and after she decides to move away... :S
3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Pot Pinchers Potholders from Vanilla House Designs - Bias Tape Issues on: October 16, 2011 02:15:48 PM

Here's what I'm working on....

4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Getting Over the Fear of "Starting Over" on: October 15, 2011 08:10:16 PM
How do you restart sewing after quite a hiatus?  It's been a long time.  Know I love the feeling of sewing when I can get myself over the hump of getting something started.  Don't know if it is fear of criticism, fear of "wasting" things, or what.

I do not know anyone here in my town that would be a "partner in crime" as it were and maybe help me get started up again.

Any thoughts?
