1  Nightstand LOVEbot boxes! in CHALLENGE 15 ENTRIES by corinne_enni on: October 03, 2006 01:17:21 PM

they are little wooden treasure chests to have and to hold...all your secrets in!

Here are a few steps in the process:

after cutting the pieces, place them accordingly, and glue them!

spray paint them...outside!

details, details...

for the girl robot -- the Hobot -- you can store birth control
and for the boy robot -- Prophylactic Tactic -- you can store some prophylactics (aka condoms) !

or whatever else you desire...may i suggest those extra ramen noodle packets you have lying around

hope you like them!

this project was originally done by backseatkiss.com (a.k.a. me, johnny and mike)

2  Prophylactic Tactic and Hobot - robot nightstand boxes/Venus zine craft winners! in Completed Projects by corinne_enni on: May 21, 2006 11:46:24 AM
hey everybody!
here are some little wooden lovebots we made for the nightstand. they are little treasure chests to have and to hold all your secrets in!!

here's the final product (see the little latches on the sides?)

prophylactic tactic and the hobot

you can use the hobot for birth control and prophylactic tactic for...well...prophylactics!

have fun!

for more pictures, and our tutorial, go to http://backseatkiss.com/thelovebots.html

we give you examples of possible uses, such as to:
Store extra top ramen salt packets - Hold on to those, youre gonna want em later this year when the all-salt no-vitamin diet gets big.

what's also exciting is that we won Venus Magazine's Craft-Off contest !

also, when you're done making these little guys, watch the cartoon they star in, "backseats are for lovers":
it's funny!

6  not-just-for-the-holidays DINO STOCKING in Winter Holidays by corinne_enni on: March 16, 2005 09:21:14 PM
it's not too christmas oriented that you can't leave it up all year! (although the santa hat makes it festive)

it's all felt!

7  knitted mittens become kittens - cute and cuddly for cold nights in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by corinne_enni on: March 16, 2005 09:00:02 PM

start with some plain knitted mittens, and use embroidery floss, felt and buttons to make them cute kittens

i thought the nose looked too dragon-ish so for the next pair i changed them a bit...

little heart noses and embroidery floss whiskers make them just right.

they keep you warm and are fun to play with -- like sock puppets kind of.

8  bedazzled (rhinestoned) license plate frame in Completed Projects by corinne_enni on: March 13, 2005 01:26:38 PM
well hello
i made this license plate frame for my boyfriend, johnny, on valentine's day. it's cute...just like him!

buy a plain license plate frame at car/hardware stores for a few dollars (they're super cheap)

get a rhinestone medley together and hot-glue them on

and there you go!

p.s. - an assortment of colorful buttons would be adorable as well!
