1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Purple jewel-encrusted bag! on: January 05, 2008 06:30:08 AM
Me and my friend were given a plain black zip-up bag and had to do something with it! We gathered up loads of purple and pink (mostly vintage) beads, buttons, jewel embellishments, bells, faux pearls and other bits and pieces, and sewed them all over 1 side of the bag. Voila, treasure!

2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Fruity and dangly...ooh err! on: October 23, 2007 05:38:31 AM
Me and my friend saw the *cutest* little glass fruit and vegetable beads that we just had to build something around! At first we were a bit concerned about how to attach them to anything as there were no holes, but luckily there were spaces where we could put links.
They were simple to make, we got some chunky silver chain which we attached earring hooks to and bent links onto the fruit and chain. The trickiest bit was making sure the beads were not too bunched together that they would smash or chip, but they worked out fine!

3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / *sings* "This is the dawning of the age of sagittarius!" on: July 22, 2007 08:07:09 AM
This is another piece made from vintage bits that I love so much! The inspiration was the sagittarius pendant (that I didn't really like) but I thought somebody else would, so we tried to make it prettier!

Altogether on there are faux pearls, lampwork beads, hearts, leaves,  buttons, flowers, chains & a big shiny star mostly threaded onto the chain & held on by links.

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Baby hedgehogs & nature on a bracelet on: July 20, 2007 10:41:13 AM
My friend turned up these sweet little baby hedgehog buttons (aww!) so I made a cute nature themed bracelet for them to nestle in

The rest of the beads (leaves, flowers, sun etc) are either vintage or from old butchered jewellery dedicated to the cause! There's also a few green swarovski crystals & teeny brass oak leaves, I'm not sure you can tell from the pictures. Everything is just strung on fishing wire with new clasps  Roll Eyes

5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Vintage BUTTONS galore! on: July 20, 2007 10:31:14 AM
I've been on a button buying spree (yaaay!) lately so have found myself with loads of vintage and Bakelite buttons to make stuff with, and this is my latest buttony thing!

It was quite simple to do, I used thin gold sparkly ribbon with a needle to get through the button holes easily, but to make sure they stayed where they were supposed to I made a knot between each one, which took aaaaaaages! But it was fun  Cheesy
The pictures don't really show up that some of the buttons are really shiny and pretty, so you have to take my word for it that it's awesome in person!
Go forth and use buttons....

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / *Any ideas for a top I made?* on: September 28, 2005 11:41:05 AM
I just made this top, plain white, out of t-shirt fabric. It is strapless and laces up at the back, but has lots of loose material hanging down underneath.
I might dye it black and add some straps of ribbon, but I'm not sure what else to do.
Any ideas?
