1  HOME SWEET HOME / Exterior Decorating / Yard Art / Gardening: Discussion and Questions / Mexican Fiesta!!! on: April 04, 2005 12:22:40 PM
June 11 I'm having a mexican fiesta for my graduation party. I've already checked out crafty chica for some fun crafty mexican style decorations or party favors but I didn't find much that applied. Does anyone have any great ideas for a party. Anything from decorations, food, party favors, jewelry or clothing?? It's going to be outside and we'll probably have a party tent. We also have a pool if that helps spark any ideas. THANK YOU!
2  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / NEW iron on transfers w/ pics and One mistake!! Great paper! on: March 29, 2005 03:43:16 PM
Okay I used the Burlington brand transfer paper that I bought at A.C. Moore. The texture is awesome and rubbery like a real shirt not rough and papery so that it will crack. I would definitely reccommend it except I tried using it on a dark shirt and that didn't work. I forgot that there isn't really 'white ink' and that the paper is just clear where it should be white so that didn't work out too well. But on all the light colors it came out great!

^^^^My mom's company's name on a t-shirt ^^^^

^^^^Page from The Little Fur Family that I used to love when I was little. ^^^^

^^^^Sorry it's so dark but the flash whited it out the first time I took the picture. But this is from an Art Nouveau style Alice in Wonderland card.

^^^^Here's the mistake. That's really what it looks like!  Sad But I will just stick to light colors from now on. ^^^^

3  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / embroidery floss on: March 26, 2005 06:30:04 PM
I have sooooo many colors of embroidery floss. The only problem is all I know how to make is those basic knot "friendship bracelets". Besides the obvious (embroidery itself) what could I make with all these cool colors of thread?
4  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / burlington brand on: March 22, 2005 07:09:39 PM
Has anyone ever tried Burlington t-shirt transfers? If so, was it a good brand, did they come out good?
They were the only type that I could see at A.C. Moore craft store.
5  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Sugar Eggs! on: March 21, 2005 11:39:07 AM
You've probably seen these before to buy in candy stores or different shops around Easter/Springtime. I used to make them when I was a little kid but they can be a lot of work so up until this year my family stopped making them. They're called either sugar eggs or panoramic eggs because there are little scenes on the inside through the peepholes that unfortunately you cannot see in the pictures. They're completely edible but we've always just kept them as decorations (they're bascially pure sugar so I dont' think they'd be too appetizing). All the decorating is done by hand with cake frosting that hardens except for the duck on top of the smaller egg that I purchased at a cake decorating store.

6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / water bottles on: March 19, 2005 08:17:22 AM
My family gets those huge cases of individual Poland Spring water bottles and although we recycle them, we always have sooooo many that I've often wondered if there was anything cool I could make with them. Any suggestions?
