1  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Lenore and Cheshire on: December 24, 2011 10:55:58 AM
I recently did a personal swap with ZimBunny (she sent absolutely awesome stuff, make sure to check them out). Our themes were Alice in Wonderland, Lenore (comic) and Totoro and they all had to be steampunked.

Here are two of the three things I sent her. I can't for the life of me find the Totoro pics Tongue

Hair clips

His eyes and teeth glow and his tail is bendable.

Thanks for looking!
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Grunge paper bracelet on: June 22, 2011 05:27:50 PM
I recently decided to invest in some grungepaper from Tim Holtz line of products. I'm usually not into the expensive "brand name" stuff but this paper looked like a fun product to try out.

Here is the result:

The back:

Full view:

I like how it looks, especially the back, but I think next time I'd want to make it more simple. I'm not very good at keeping things simple, I like stuff! Sometimes it gets a bit crowded though.

I also want to give a leather one a try but I cannot find a place that sells scrap leather pieces and kinda don't have the $$ for a nice big piece of leather.  (Swap anyone Tongue)

Hope you like it! Thank so much for looking Smiley
If anyone has any ideas on how to seal/waterproof this that would be awesome too!
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Baking glass on: June 15, 2011 08:31:47 PM
I'm planning on baking a piece of poly clay onto the glass cover of a watch. Anyone know if the glass will withstand the heat or would it crack/break?

Thanks in advance!
4  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Altered watch, steampunk pendant. on: June 14, 2011 12:34:31 PM
I was feeling a bit nervous posting this up after seeing all the beautifully professional work that's been popping up on this board haha. Some gorgeous creations fellow crafters!

I'm also not sure if this is the proper place for it, perhaps the jewelry board would be more appropriate but it does have some poly clay art in it so this'll have to do.

I recently found an old watch a store near my place, $1 per watch, I figured why not? I loved the frame so I took it apart and made this:

The mushroom and the piping is poly clay.

Also took some progress shots this time around so here they are:

Hope you enjoyed it! All cc is welcome Smiley

Thanks for looking!
5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My first attempt at inchies on: May 15, 2011 07:14:05 PM
I love working with little details so it was only a matter of time before I'd find out about these. I've seen many of the inchies others made on this board and was so impressed I had to try them. Sorry they're so big, my editing isn't working for some reason.

Here they are! There are 30 of them copper, silver and gold themed.
Close up of a few of my favorites

And a pic of all of them together

Hope you like them.
6  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / 80's/90's Fads! on: May 04, 2011 06:55:42 PM
Remember the days of Pokemon cards, Pogs and Tamagotchi? Being Canadian these were the staples of my childhood. I think it would be great to bring back fads from the 80's and 90's in a crafty way of course! Not to mention it would be wicked fun to see some fads from other countries.

As an example: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=379786.0  Created by member 'Geek' (great idea btw)

7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Caterpillar! on: April 24, 2011 07:02:57 PM
I like a lot of things but among all of them two of my favorites are mushrooms (as many of you may have already started to notice) and caterpillars.  I'd like to share a recent caterpillar I made and an old friend of mine.

My old friend from about half a year back. I started modestly using some coloured clay and basic designs. He broke in the middle unfortunately so I tried to fix him with clear glue, he's a tad misshapen now but I still like him!

And this is my newest friend whom I created after getting attacked by my steampunk phase. Let's just say he's a bit more detailed :p

This guy I created with the thought of him being a transport caterpillar from little jar world to little jar world. I'm currently working on a psychedelic jar world and I pretend that this caterpillar is a sort of transport train from that jar to my previously posted steampunk jar. So the first part of him is industrial style while the tail end is colourful and magical to represent the groovy world. (What a mouthful, I rambled!)

Thank you so much for taking the time to look! Smiley

8  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Spiral Tree on: April 24, 2011 10:01:14 AM
Hi everyone!

Just a little item I created aptly called spiral tree. It was my first time working with somewhat of a wire armature and let me tell you it was difficult with something so small!

Hope you enjoy it!

Top view:

It's a lot shinier in real life, I think the gloss changes the look in pictures.

Thanks for looking Smiley
9  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Sir Gear on: April 24, 2011 09:39:32 AM
This guy was made using a base provided by Rose Art. They make these little characters called color blanks http://www.colorblanks.com/ and you design what they look like and such. I thought, hey why not give it a try, sounds crafty enough! He's made using watch parts, screws, polymer clay and acrylic paint.

10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / More Little Projects [img heavy] on: April 05, 2011 09:07:32 PM
A few more little projects I had worked on recently.

My attempt at an anatomically correct heart:

My Totoro, I have an obsession with my new mica powders as you can tell!

Generic mushroom

Another steampunk mushroom

Stitch mushroom

Enjoy! Thanks for looking!
