I can't wait to make one of these!  Thank you for the tips and things you encountered in your sharing this. I can't wait to feel the warm rocks below my feet! Wink

Thank you for the sweet comments!
I like my Fairies to be natural looking.  The kind I would find hiding in my  woods. Wink  The natural "recycled"  wings have been a long time challenge to keep them preserved and strong enough to last.  I used to heat laminate them years ago, but found them still too stiff and plastic looking, but it was the best I could come up with at he time.  I was happy with it back then, but still wanted to make them look better and maintain their strength..  This new method with the other sealers have been great so far, but I am still experimenting.  The real challenge would be to preserve butterfly wings and still maintain their powdery look!   I'll be happy to share my tips with everyone if I come up with a new better way! What fun!  I like to take the kids to find things for our fairies and fairy houses to make. What a great way to help them find things to inspire their creativity, instead of just throwing it in a plastic bag! Cheesy

Sierra is a one of a kind hand sculpted with Super Sculpy. She measures 2 1/2 " tall. Her wings are made from real Cicada wings of the 17yr. locusts that spent their short life in PA. Her hair is made of feathers and the mirror is made with Spanish moss and wire
