These are AMAZING!

I love this show and the hoops you've made are so well made and whimsical.
22  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Avatar Round 4 / Legend of Korra / All things Avatar GALLERY! on: August 28, 2012 10:14:35 PM
I'm so glad that you like everything the_essence!

- The bracelet thing was actually around the top of the candle holder for decoration. lol. It must have slipped off on the way to you, but could probably be used as a book mark or anklet too. The candle scent is "pumpkin spice" and is a mixture of pumpkin, citrus, cloves, and cinnamon. I swear the people at the store must have thought I was crazy because I was sniffing all the candles for a kind of spicey scent that made me think of the fire nation.

-The top of the candle holder is a copy of the floor design in Avatar Roku's temple. =)

- I had so much fun painting that scroll for you. It's the first time I've done bamboo before and learned a lot about Chinese style water color techniques on youtube!

And no need for swap anxiety as I'm sure I'll love whatever you've made.

- I'm sooooooo happy you like the pillow. As I was making it I was hoping you wouldn't find it super creepy. My brother came over after I had painted the face and we had a good laugh about it as well. The hair is sticking up in all directions from travel, but if you smooth it down over his forhead a little you can see I cut it so that it looks like his hair starting about when he joins the gAang.

I want that flamingo magnet soooo badly! It wouldn't go in my house, but I'm sure it would make people smile.
24  COOKING / Vegetarian / Vegan / Re: No Meat Lasagna on: August 26, 2012 12:45:07 AM
Sounds yummy! I would have never thought to add cream cheese to lasagna and I'm sure it gave it a wonderful texture to the cheese.

vegetarian lasagna was one of the first things I made successfully when my husband went vegetarian. We cut out the riccotta cheese though as it is a little too rich for his stomach. We use tofu in place of the riccotta and it still tastes soooooo good!

I use the recipe bellow as a guideline if you ever want to give it a try. I still use shredded cheese on top and add more veggies though.

My husband is vegetarian and I am off and on as well. These look delicious!

I have no idea what Kasha is though, so I'm off to go do some google hunting.

I turn my back for a second and then when I look the gallery is flooded with awesomeness!!

1. Appa sketch from Chamomile_T is so adorable! Also, I find it funny how similar our craftster names are.
2. The Toph hoop from Abeeroad. I want to steal it. She looks so smug like she just made a joke about being blind.
3. CACTUS!!! The perler beed Sokka is good too, but I would totally put that cactus in my car where other like-minded avatar fans might know what it means.
4. The blue spirit stamp is so cool! I love the kind of old feeling to it. It would look great stamped in red on a scroll.
5. The Yue hair decorations look so well made. I also like that they are smaller in size so you can wear them out with normal clothing.

Can't wait for my package to get here from my partner after seeing all these great crafts!

Yay! I'm so excited about the gallery being up and so many people receiving. Sorry to my partner for sending out so late, but hopefully the wait will be worth it.

The_essence I'm pretty sure that you're going to love what I'm making you. Now if only it would create itself a little quicker.

I might be able to get it done tomorrow night, but there is no way I'll be able to mail on Wednesday even if I do. Wednesday is PT day and I have like a million appointments with people. It'll probably be another 14 hour work day.

The Navy has kept me busy the past week with extra duty and PT tests, but when I finally got to check the gallery again I was pleasantly surprised with all the new lovelies!

If I were not on this blasted island, you best believe that chicken pouch would be in danger as I would most def steal it. I love that the fabric for the body is like the wire for a chicken coop.

The kiwi shirt is so clever and cute!!

I so want a birds nest pendant. It is absolutely lovely as a ring as well.
30  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Robin Egg Diorama on: August 12, 2012 11:51:04 PM
@ SailorStella - I was afraid to send it in the mail, especially since it was coming from Hawaii. That is why I probably over-did it a little with the bubble wrap and tape. lol

@ Oath Keeper - I smashed the first one I tried, but luckily it wasn't really a waste as we normally throw the shells out any ways. I used the eggy part to make banana bread with. The trick for me is that I found poking out a small part using a sharp needle helped. Then I used a pair of really sharp scissors to cut the rest. They are the scissors you get for like cutting toenails or grooming eyebrows and are a little curved.
