1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Hedgehog pincushion (updated to inc link to tutorial) on: August 03, 2012 04:15:21 AM
I've seen a few hedgehog pincushions featured on craftster before - I hope you don't mind if I add another  Smiley

I've made her tiny this time to use as a pincushion, but I'm planning to make a larger one as a toy for my daughter (and perhaps another, for me!)

There are more pictures and a tutorial at my site

2  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Toddler's sleeveless coat (because sleeves only get in the way) on: June 21, 2012 10:00:39 PM
I made this little coat for my daughter.  I've had this wool remnant sitting in my stash for donkey years, and managed to only just squeeze a Sophie-size pattern onto it.  This design is from from the Ottobre 1/2010 issue, and is really a pinafore dress.  But I've lengthened it a little and have lined it, because the wool is a little bit scratchy.

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Felted crochet shooting star pin on: June 20, 2012 06:21:08 AM
I wanted to make something starry to put on a rather serious looking grey coat I'm making for my daughter.  I made this little pin out of some wool yarn scrap and ribbon.

I'm hoping to make a few more (when time permits!) in different colours.  Smiley
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Star wand on: May 18, 2012 05:22:27 AM
Of late, my one year old daughter, Sophie has been pretending to be a fairy and using my soup ladle as a wand, which was very cute until she started clonking her older brother on the head with it.  I made this star wands for her out of some fabric scraps to save Cameron from further bruising  Smiley

I have LOTS of little girls birthdays coming up in the next couple of months and am planning to make these to include in their gifts, they are so easy!  My scrap stash will be busted in no time!

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Easter bunnies for the kids on: April 08, 2012 10:30:10 PM
I got these finished just in the nick of time!

Happy Easter, everybody!  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy
6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Bunting made from old greeting cards on: March 06, 2012 08:41:26 PM
Clearing out my cupboards, I found loads of greeting cards.  As my sentimentality makes it hard to throw such things away, Cameron and I turned Sophie's welcome and birthday cards into bunting for her room.

Next, we are going to tackle five years worth of Christmas cards for bunting to hang about the house next December (it may take me that long to make!)
7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Polka dot tunic on: February 01, 2012 05:52:22 AM
I found a fantastic little pattern for 50 cents at a local thrift store, and made it up into this tunic for my daughter from some remnants I picked up from the fabric store.  It's such an easy pattern to run up, and will make up in  a nice winter dress in dark chambray  Smiley

8  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Making paper dolls with the kids on: January 09, 2012 05:23:34 AM
An easy craft that killed some time over the school break.  Since we made them, the kids have been playing with them non-stop!  Cheesy

9  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Lollipop Christmas cards on: December 07, 2011 06:03:40 PM

This is this year's effort for Christmas cards for Cameron's classmates.  He was going to be holding a candy cane but I couldn't find any to fit.  Good old Red Dot to the rescue with their Christmas lollipops!  Merry Christmas, everybody!
10  COOKING / Dessert / Crazy faced lollipops on: October 03, 2011 04:45:26 AM
This is what we are making for Cameron's class for Halloween this year.  Scary?  Not in the least.  But we sampled and they are very yummy!

No fancy molds are required, they are made in cupcake liners.  For detailed instructions, you can visit my blog below, if you like.
