11  Tissue pouches for the kiddies in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by maker*land on: September 28, 2011 03:55:35 AM
After the weekly Friday clean of Cameron's schoolbag, and finding what equates to nearly a full box of clean, but mutilated tissues (which he grabs every morning "just in case"), I finally made him a tissue pouch of his own (oh, and one for Sophie, too!)  I really have to get around to doing these things sooner...

12  Crochet water bottle cosy (with link to free pattern) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by maker*land on: August 31, 2011 10:46:03 PM
A great way of differentiating kiddie water bottles and stopping the spread of boy/girl germs.  Great scrap buster too!

If you would like to make your own, here is the link

13  Happy Bow-thday card in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by maker*land on: July 27, 2011 10:54:31 PM
I made this card to hold the bows I've been making as gifts( the tutorial for those is somewhere on craftster, I think it's been shifted).  All the Nannas' are getting one of these.  (Hopefully, they don't read craftster!  Or at least this forum post!)

14  Pom pom hat for a child in Knitting: Completed Projects by maker*land on: July 23, 2011 06:03:30 AM
I've seen LOTS of gorgeous knitting on this site, and I feel a bit sheepish submitting such a simple hat.  I've been knitting for a long time, I'm just not a good knitter.  I'm happy that I am just able to finish something that's not too shameful.   I have a thing for making pompoms at the moment, and they are always handy for sprucing up something simple.  (And detracting from mistakes!)

I've blogged the pattern, but experienced knitters could probably make it up on the spot by just eyeballing it.  I'm just happy to have finished it.

15  T-shirt resize for Cameron. in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by maker*land on: July 15, 2011 04:59:41 AM
I've really got to pull my finger out and do more of these, I have about 50 t-shirts piled up in the corner of my room waiting to be carved up.  No joke.

16  Super quick mini marshmallow cone cakes in Dessert by maker*land on: July 06, 2011 06:30:18 AM
I love the practicality of cakes in icecream cones (easy for little ones to eat, no need for plates, novelty factor, etc) but the ones I've cooked in the cone turn out huge, with toddlers barely being able to eat a third of one.  These ones are made with miniature cupcakes baked first and then pushed into kiddy cones with the added surprise of a marshmallow popped inside the cone.  Tiny and sweet (and just enough!)

And all boxed up for morning tea at the park with a friend

17  Bows in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by maker*land on: June 30, 2011 06:50:03 PM
I'm not entirely sure where this post should go (here?  Jewelry? General sewing?)  But as I'm making these for my baby, I'll post them here for now, and if admin thinks they don't belong here, I'll go with their decision.

This is an easy scrap busting project, and I've been using them to girl up my son's old baby clothes.

Tutorial blogged!

18  Colourful baby girl skirt in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by maker*land on: June 09, 2011 10:21:11 PM
Getting rid of the scraps I've been holding on to for eons is easy now there's a baby girl in the house!  I cobbled up a skirt for Sophie May last night which took about a half hour  once the pattern was drawn up and the fabric cut out.

My room will be scrap free in no time!  Have blogged pattern instructions and tutorial if you're interested in making one.

20  Personalized chocolate bar wrapper in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by maker*land on: May 26, 2011 06:16:23 AM
One of the teachers my son had last  year got  married over the school holiday break, and he just HAD to get her a wedding present (he's in love with all his teachers, but he's especially soft on this particular one.)  Before the break, she told me what her new name was going to be, but I can't be expected to remember anything after having a baby, I have a major placenta brain.
