You'd be surprised how much they stretch. This shirt is only a 2T.  I couldn't believe how big it ended up being.

I love it, such a beautiful design.  I'm sure she will love it and appreciate how much time and heart you put into it.  Something like that is a treasure.

Ok so I just started to embroider a few weeks ago.  I knew how to sew and I have had a machine for years, but for the most part it sat and gathered dust. When I started embroidering, it inspired me to do other things too.  I made this pillow for my son.  This was his favorite t-shirt and it was to small so I turned it into a pillow!

I hooped the top and back stitched a space fabric into the collar, he loves earth so i made sure that it centered.

The back is a Sublime Stitching pattern and completely back stitched.  My son has a love of all things space so he loves this.

Thanks for looking and I would love feedback, comment or criticism.  I'm still learning so I welcome all of it!

676  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / help with stem stitch on: March 31, 2011 04:02:35 AM
Hi everyone, I'm new to embroidery, I just started a few weeks ago.  I saw an ad for Sublime Stitching and fell in love.  I've read some books and I've mastered the french not and many other stitches, except the stem stitch.  I don't quite know what I'm doing wrong but I just can't get it to run along the line.  I've been practicing it, but any tips will be greatly appreciated.  I've been doing all my outlining in back and split stitches but would really like to expand. Thanks!

This is the first project I've completed.  I've only been stitching for about 3 weeks and I love it! Its for a friends baby shower next week.  I need to work on the spacing of my wording.  All in all I'm very happy with it!

Hi, I'm getting ready to embroider on the back of my sons black t-shirt and I'm new at this and I don't even really know where to start.  I've never worked on black, let alone knit fabric.  Any suggestions would be great thanks!
