1  My friend asked for a Gryffindor Scarf for her birthday... in Crochet: Completed Projects by JustNaz9 on: April 25, 2011 06:54:26 PM
...And this is what I came up with! The two of us are going to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in July and she asked me to make her a Gryffindor Scarf to wear around the park. Why she would want to wear a scarf in Florida in July is beyond me, but that's what she wanted!

I used Vanna's Choice in Cranberry & Mustard because it was the only satisfactory goldish-yellow I could find. I used Half-Double Crochet, chained 40 and did 15 rows of each color, in case you were wondering Smiley

This is one of my dogs, Reese, modeling before I wove in all the tails. She wouldn't model the finished scarf, of course!

Completed!

All laid out, before I added the fringe.

A couple of the stripes are a bit bulge-y around the edges, but I'm still new to crocheting and you can't really tell unless it's all laid out and you're looking closely. I'm making a Ravenclaw trapped bar scarf for myself soon, although I definitely won't be wearing it in Florida!

Thanks for looking!

2  Spring-y Camera Strap in Crochet: Completed Projects by JustNaz9 on: April 15, 2011 11:42:08 AM
I lost my camera strap a while back (no big loss, it was just the ugly black nylon kind) and decided today would be a good day to make a new one! I used Caron Party Yarn and basically did two rows of HDC with an I hook and added a flower detail using this pattern: http://www.crochetspot.com/crochet-pattern-simple-six-petal-flower/

And a close up of the flower:

The acrylic is really lightweight and soft, and the strap is a great length. Thanks for looking!

3  Luna's Dirigible Plum Earrings! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by JustNaz9 on: March 21, 2011 06:09:05 PM
Hello all! These were my first experience working with polymer clay and I don't think they turned out so bad!

I wanted to make them orange, instead of red, because in the book they're orange. I also think these are a little more my style than the beaded versions.

I love them, but you can definitely tell I'm an amateur, lol. The orange kind of made the white look "dirty" and I got a few fingerprints on them, but overall I think they were a great first project.

And just for funsies, here's another pic with my butterbeer cork necklace (to keep the nargles away!)

Thanks for looking Grin
