They are all so cute!! I use a lot as magnets or coasters. My big ones (family guy) I back with foam core and hang on my wall. They are really addicting to make. Have fun!

Haha! I'm special. After I posted that, I realized that I posted from the account I forgot I made. I'm going to be using Sphynxz from now on; because, I like it more than adding an 8 at the end. Still working out a ton of details for the party...but, I'm really excited about it.

That Pandorica is the most amazing whoop I've ever seen! I wish I was talented enough to attempt it. Wow! Absolutely beautiful.

Ruby Copperhead, I know! Wool would suck...They must've kept the sets nice and cool. I sure hope they turn out better than the store bought ones...hehe. Now all I need to do is find the right wine-colored cotton, along with the blue. The black shouldn't be difficult...oh yeah...and learn how to sew...haha! I was thinking the pin ones might tear the fabric too.

Wow! I didn't even think about that! I'll have to find a way to either make one or find one already made. Maybe etsy will have one?

TheMistressT, it's pretty funny that the first person I thought of as a photographer friend, was my boyfriend. Then I realized that that just wouldn't work. I will definitely try to use that technique instead of wasting money buying a few vinyl, waterproof ones.

Ruby Copperhead, are you serious? How did they turn out? That gives me some hope...hehe! I was considering using sweatshirts; however, my boyfriend has a tendency to get overheated really easily...when I'm still shivering. I'm hoping to be able to make them a lighter fabric...like cotton. I did find the official patterns online! Did you know that the communication badges were actually velcroed? I didn't. Do you think cotton would work? --- they are supposed to be wool; but, I just can't make him suffer like that. I'll probably include the shoulder pads...He's already eye candy for me... Grin

TheMistressT, I was thinking that seamless paper might be friendlier to my walls. I'm thinking about getting that and painting it to look like the bridge, along with making two light boxes that will look like the control knobs, and two that are the dislpays from TOS. Also, I found these elastic vinyl table cloths, and I only need one; so, that should work well for not looking like a table cloth. Your alien plants suggestion made me think of using unique-looking fruits and veggies (Dragon Fruit, Kiwano Melon, Cherimoya, Purple Kohlrabi, and Fingered Citron) in the decor for the table, as well as in the fruit and veggie tray. I'm going to look for some crazy looking plants too...and if I can't find any...I just might have to make them.

Thanks so much for the suggestions...I can really see this whole thing coming together. Hehe!

Wonderland_Hlppie, I LOVE Thinkgeek! I'm thinking about buying a few things there for him as gifts...along with the party. Also, if I can't figure out how to make a talking, vibrating Tribble, I'm going to buy him one from there.

Ruby Copperhead, I really want to use some decor like that! Thanks for the tips! I'll try to find a template somewhere.

As an update of sorts,

I found a site that had a lot of the prop bottles that they used from the shows. A lot of them were found objects; so, I think I'm going to find and make a Kanar bottle, Romulan Ale bottle, and possibly a few more...I'm looking at my funds...and there's not much there. I just have to find a water-proof vinyl label maker or some sort of material like that that I can print from my computer.

I also found a lot of different foods that look space-age, Klingon, Andarian...and much more. I'm really going to make sure that the food is unique enough for everyone and yet still add a few things for the less adventurous.

I've realised that, in order to make this party as epic as I want, I'm going to have to use almost all of my leftover cash to stock up for it...yikes. Looks like I'm making Christmas gifts this year. Haha!

I'm trying to work out a budget required; but, a lot of things I'm hoping to find at thrift stores, etsy, or e-bay...ugh!

I've also decided to be a bit more foolish and attempt to make him a TNG commander's shirt/jacket-thing (complete with comm badge and pins) and me a Deanna Troi outfit. Picard is his favorite captian; so, although I can't make all the decor TNG-like, I'm going to try to make him Picard's top and steal a pair of his black pants. Wish me luck on this part...I've never sewed in my life. I'm going to practice with making about 20-30 tribbles first...hopefully that will help me make the outfits?

That's about all I've got thus far. Hehe!

Silentblair, no worries. I will definitely take tons of pictures. Hehe!

Miss_katamari, I am going to have to get that book, and possibly the cooking manual as well.

Redheadedblonde, woah! That would be awesome! If I am able to get the shaped right, I will totally do that. I'll just have to figure out whose torso it should be...maybe Picard's...he is my boyfriend's favourite captain...I just wonder how I could get the head attached. Maybe if I push the cake to the edge of the table, I can get the volunteer to sit on his knees to reach his head up...hmm.

Great ideas! Thanks so much!
