21  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: How many WIPs do you usually have going? on: May 23, 2007 11:20:28 AM

22  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: *knitting with balls* by Vecchio Del on: November 13, 2006 06:03:32 AM
Hi Tygra.
I did see this book just the other day.  If you friend is already a knittier than this book might be interesting to him.  It's set up sort of like the SNB books, with instructional pages in the front, and then on to patterns.  There seemed to be a pretty good mix of pattern types, a beer cozy, some sweaters, and a rug pattern if I remember correctly, and they are all pretty classy.
However...when I showed this book to my boyfriend (a non-knitter who I have been trying to convert) he claimed the patterns were too metrosexual and not brutal enough (yeah, he's a special guy), he was disappointed there were no skulls or anything like that.  In that sense, the SNB books has better patterns...
Hope this helped a little.   Smiley

No, you're right. The price went up since yesterday.

Ugh!  If only I had know....I guess I shouldn't complain, it's still affordable, but now it just dosen't seem like as much of a deal for the yardage.

Maybe I am just not remembering the prices correctly?

How about some really cheesy temporary tattoos?  Like "Born to Ride" or something.  Also maybe a bandana?
