The Amazing Turnip Girl with a cape, I love the idea!
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: You can have the Doctor where ever you go! on: March 21, 2012 10:39:31 PM
Love these, and I'm going to show them to my daughter!
3  UNITED STATES / Alaska / Re: List of Craft Stores on: July 11, 2011 03:09:39 PM
Anchorage area:
Black Elk has leather, beads, some fur, supplies, crystals, rocks and incense to name a few things. It's huge and I could spend my entire PFD there easily.

Alaska Bead Company on Lake Otis and Tudor has great beads and they are always helpful. New beads come out on Sundays, and they also host trunk shows and have lots of guest teachers. In the same mall complex is a Tandy Leather and a rock shop.

Beads are my passion, so those are the places they know me by name.

My daughter is fond of Value Village because they have big bags of fabric scraps for 5.00 a bag and yarn for the same. She makes dolls and gets very interesting fabrics that way.
4  UNITED STATES / Alaska / Re: Any Craftsters in Alaska? on: July 11, 2011 03:01:26 PM
Has anyone seen any classes offered around for Native Arts like caribou tufting, basket weaving, fur sewing, or anything along those lines?

I keep looking, but so far keep coming up with nothing.  Sad

I haven't checked this thread in a while. Sorry.

Have you checked the Alaska Native Heritage Center in Anchorage? They offer lots of classes.
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Nyan Cat Cross Stitch! on: June 23, 2011 02:03:27 PM
Love that so much! I like the idea of putting nyan around the border.
6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: Earbud wire and wire caged die on: March 29, 2011 06:36:57 AM
The bail is the top loop that connects the cage to the cord.
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Crochet button bangle on: March 26, 2011 09:16:24 AM
@laialda- thank you! That auction was 9 lbs of buttons, so I'm trying to think of lots of button projects!
@Rosie1981- Thank you for commenting! My daughter can't crochet either, she knits and sews mostly. But she really likes soft crocheted bangles bracelets so most of the ones I make find their way into her room!
@NotKnit- thank you too! *grins* Now to come up with a use for all the rest of those buttons!
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Twilight themed beaded pincushion on: March 26, 2011 09:11:20 AM
@Krafty_Karasu- My daughter spends more time on Craftster lately than I do! Yes, it's my pattern, I've been the Beadwork editor at BellaOnline for nearly 10 years. Smiley Thank you very much for allowing me to post the link and show off your gorgeous adaptation!
9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Re: The Tyger miniature accordion book on: March 26, 2011 09:08:36 AM
@Icekibby- Thank you! I need to renovate my dollhouse as well, but I'm sort of stuck for ideas. It's very flattering to be included in your plans!
@mingus107- My pleasure! Thank you!

Would you mind if I posted this in my newsletter at some point? You did a great job of modifying my pattern and the apple effect is just great.
