2  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: One Tiny B & W movie thing on: January 19, 2018 12:43:58 AM
Hey, life happens but I'm almost always up for a black and white movie inspired swap!  I spent a recent snow day watching some classic film noir.  Out of the Past, Laura, and The Big Sleep.  Perhaps the next snow day will be all Fred and Ginger movies.   Smiley

This swap sounds like a good idea after our recent snow bombogenesis!

Prepare to have your breath taken away, my fellow swappers, because StudioANF outdid herself!

First, my package arrived wrapped in pretty bid wrapping with Happy Mail written everywhere!

I unwrapped a mysterious black box with interesting markings.   Grin

Opening the box, I found ephemera and stickers and awesome cat paw stickies!
 and unicorns!

And my envelope (or perhaps it's better called an accordion box!)

beautifully closed with a ribbon and seal

Opening slowly
(check out the fabulous arrows!)

StudioANF focused on my nature theme and these are some of the many goodies inside:
"made by hand" tags and spiral paper clips

beautiful flowers, mushrooms and ferns (are you aware that StudioANF is an artist in the truest sense of the word!  check out her Etsy page for more!)

beaded clips (bet I could use these as place markers for crochet projects too!) and butterfly, circle and heart confetti!

pretty feathers!

lovely butterflies!

sweet mushroom magnets and more wax seals!!!

somehow the picture of the Gryffindor cards didn't make it onto my computer.  I'll have to fix that!

I am absolutely blown away with this happy mail!!!!!!!!!!!  What an amazing package!!!!!!!  I am going to have so much fun with all these embellishments in my art journal, card making, etc...

Thank you so very, very, very much, StudioANF!!!!!!!!!!!  (did I mention how blown away I am?!)   Cheesy

Interesting fact about the prayer flag: the plant image is painted on an old tea bag. It makes a surprisingly lovely surface with nice opacity when you add modpodge.

I love using tea bags as a mini canvas!  It adds such great texture and looks antique.  What a neat addition to a prayer flag!
I also love the fudgesicle stamp and the reindeer cards and tags!  The mini kits are genius!  And all the gelli prints are so cool!  I must try that someday!

I'm glad you liked my accordion booklet, StudioANF!  I apologize that I left out the card I meant to write and add as well.  I really had fun making all the stuff, like antiquing those maps (I even smeared a little jam on the Hundred Acre Wood map because I felt that was something Pooh would have done.   Cheesy).  And those were my first ATCs, which were also fun to experiment with.  I had so many other ideas that I didn't have the time to pull off as well.  I'll have to save those for the next Happy Mail swap!   Wink

Also the scare is funny (sorry!) I know what you mean but it never entered my mind when I saw the kitty!

LOL!  You're probably right.  You know how it is when you stare at something for too long;  you start to see things!  Still, it's also amazing how a slight tweak will change an object for the better.
