Details of swap:
Do you love Halloween? Do you think about Halloween throughout the year, not just in October?  Do you love opening presents?  If you answered yes to any of those questions then this may be the swap for you! This swap is a Mini 13 days of Halloween swap. Instead of opening all your presents at once like in other swaps, we count down the days to Halloween starting with 10/17. You will open day 13 on October the 18th, day 12 on October the 19th and so on until 10/30.  (This is a flexible time schedule however.  Please communicate with your partner.  If you or they need to adhere to a different schedule, that is, of course, okay as long as youve both worked it out beforehand.)

Requirements:
-You must post in this thread before signing up
-A minimum of 13 items, one for each day.
-At least 6 crafted items must be sent, equal to 5 small (Under $10 or under two hours to craft) and 1 medium (Medium = 2 or more hours to craft or $10-$30 dollars)
-Spoiling is okay but do not expect the same in return. If you would like to spoil, please discuss it with your partner!
-You must post in the thread at least once a week (or communicate reason you cannot)
-You must PM both your partner and organizer when you send and receive
-You must post photos in the gallery and if you cant please ask your partner to do so.  We all want to oooh and aaah over the goodies!

Some things to think about:
*THIS SWAP IS LARGE! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE THINK CAREFULLY ON JOINING AND IF YOU DOUBT YOU CAN DO IT PLEASE DONT JOIN.  WE WANT THIS SWAP TO BE TOTALLY FLAKE FREE!!!!

* I STRONGLY recommend that you have a Pinterest board for this swap, as it helps out your partner greatly. Please keep this updated and have at least 20 items on it. If you do not have a Pinterest board, please have another way to show items to your partner that you like (Etsy favorites, flickr, etc...)

*If you are sending BAKED GOODS, please only send them if you live in the same country as your partner. We do not need to tempt customs people to keep your package after you have worked so hard on it! Also, if you are sending baked goods you should make this the package that is opened on day 1!

*I highly recommend that you wrap your items in a plastic bag/trash bag/ or some other protective wrapping INSIDE the box you are sending. Things can get wet from rain and/or snow OR things can melt in hot temperatures.

If you want to participate, fill in information and send to organizer calixita

My partner shipped and I received several days ago but life got crazy.  My father had a medical emergency which luckily turned into a minor tempest in a teacup sort of thing but took me out of town unexpectedly.  Now I'm back and have finally opened my package.  I was totally spoiled!!

Here's a photo of it all:

Thimbles71 made me some awesome pouches to help me in my endless quest to organize:
a Ruth Bader Ginsberg pouch with this quote on the other side

and a sweet "impale the patriarchy" one

inside I found some cute figures of Hilary and Michelle and fabulous magnets!

But Thimbles71 didn't stop there!  She made me not one, but two gorgeous mini quilts!!!
first the Michelle Obama one

the quote says "Courage can be contagious and hope can take on a life of it's own."  So uplifiting!

and a beautiful Power to the Women mini quilt.  I love this symbol!

Most of the magnet are going to work with me where they can help "corrupt" young minds at the university I work in.  Perhaps one of the mini quilts would look good by my desk too!

Now to feverishly finish crafting my own package and hopefully get it in the mail on time!!  I think I can!  I think I can!

Thank you so much Thimbles71!!!!!!!  I apologize for the delay but your package was a wonderful surprise after a busy long weekend!!!  You brought smiles and delight to a rather tired woman and left me feeling so good about our community of enlightened and crafty women!!!

Glad you like your package, gala_apples!  I may have had the most fun making the magnets.  The fairy wings are good for turning family photos whimsical.  I turned my niece into a fairy.

I am glad the deer head didn't get crushed.

Oh my!  Those kitchen towels are gorgeous!  Quite stylish and unique!

I received today from Gala apples!
What a wonderful surprise on a rather crappy, rainy day!!  Totally lifted my spirits!

First, it was packed in a potatoes au gratin box which made me giggle!  Way to recycle!!

Inside was an awesome t-shirt covered in sweet mushrooms, a beautiful birch tree necklace and a sweet quilted card!

The t-shirt is a little washed out in this photo.  It's more of a pretty robin's egg blue and the mushrooms are in my favorite shades of cool colors!

Here's a close up of the pendent.  The birch bark is wonderfully done!  Is it clay, gala?

Thank you so very much!!  I hope my package arrives at your door soon!!

Boston's March (really more of a rally) had approx. 70,000 people which I thought was a pretty good turnout considering the weather that day was pretty yucky.
Here's the sign I made.
Had to throw Spock into the science debate!   Cheesy

First off, I must display the luscious candy bar in the bottom of my stocking!
It's milk chocolate with a salted caramel and honeycomb filling!  I'm saving it for a special occasion.

Now for the wonderful presents that my partner managed to squeeze into her package!  I have been so spoiled!
Special British items like a sweet kids book featuring Santa in her home town/county, a local magazine (my father wants me to point out that I was born in Hampshire county here in New England!), and a beautiful British birds calendar!

A box full of cute mini ornaments and lights for a tiny tree!!

a beautiful journal with thick colorful pages!

a new book to read with a pretty snowflake bookmark!

an adorable reindeer towel!

A wonderful crocheted shawl!  I love the colors so much!

a beautiful hoopla inspired by artwork on my Pinterest page!  She re-interpreted a wire and stone sculpture with buttons and ribbon embroidery!  It's so lovely!!

an exquisite sparkly crocheted dream catcher!

a fabulous snowflake garland that is going to look great in my kitchen window!

And all of my presents had these great little clips on them which will get re-used in many Christmas's to come!

Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you, seeuudee!!  You made my Christmas extra special!!  I love my wonderful and gorgeous stocking and all the goodies you sent!  Thank you for all the time and care you put into my package!!  Everything is so fabulous!!!

Wishing everyone a joyous season!!!!![img width=500
