1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / "Advent Calendar" for boyfriend on: October 22, 2012 02:35:24 AM
I always make my boyfriend some form of advent calendar to countdown the days to Christmas - before I've put little themed gifts etc in, but he is one of these who doesn't like having little knick knacks about the place (sad face - I'm all about the knick knacks and little toys) but he does love when I draw/write little notes.

Whitter whitter ... I was thinking of doing a countdown of little notes to him where the numbers mean something, e.g. 8 would be that we first kissed at 8 o'clock.  But dammit if this isn't hard to think of - now I'm all "1 is for ... Er, I have one heart to love you??".   Any help based loosely around that would be ace Wink little generic things, that I, with limited stick man drawing ability, would be able to doodle up Cheesy

Thanks in advance!

2  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Mother's Day / I love you ... book on: January 29, 2007 05:02:02 AM
I saw this post when I was looking in the Valentine's board and I thought it would make a lovely idea for my mum for Mother's Day but I am struggling to come up with lost of ideas (I want more than 50 ideas then I don't have to use all of them - some of my earlier ones maybe aren't so good!).  Can anybody help me think of things?? Smiley

3  CITY GUIDES FOR CRAFTSTERS / U.K. AND IRELAND / Glass etching on: August 18, 2006 06:40:35 AM
EDIT:  Nevermind, I've found another post like this one  Smiley  Costs a hell of a lot more here than it does in America though, about 5 more from whet I've seen Sad  Oh well!

I never really post here, just linger around and look at other people's stuff, but I've been searching for a while now and can't find anything ...

I want to etch some glass for Xmas (I know, I know, it's August!) but I can only find it on American sites and they can't ship it overseas Sad  Anyway, I can't find any places that sell Armour Etch (which is what eeeeeverybody on here uses), but I have seen other products but am not sure entirely if this is what I want.

Have any UK'ers done glass etching (I'm sure you have! Smiley ) and what product did you use?  I'd prefer if I could order it online, obviously through a reputable website.

Did that make sense??!! LoL.

Thanks Smiley
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Stamp mirror. on: January 19, 2006 12:26:57 PM
Ah, my first post!  I've been skulking around here since early 2005 stealing your own ideas but never posting my own, so I figured I'd bam this baby up.  It's not so great and it only took a few minutes, but it's all my own so.

I don't think you can really see too well on the pics, but they are first class stamps all the way around the mirror frame which I coloured pink. I don't think the queen has ever looked lovelier.  Something to do with all the stamps I nicked from work  Wink

Close up of the stamps, bit blurry sorry.

Also, trying to take a picture of a mirror is a bitch.
