front: "I attempted suicide at 19."

back: "I'm 28 now. Back then, I was bullied for being 'fat, umpopular' in my high school. I drank an entire bottle of vodka and took a bottle of painkillers. To date, my parents don't know about my suicide attempt. (But several of my friends do.)

5  Taylor Swift Swap? in New Swap Theme Ideas by stephfro23 on: November 01, 2011 06:08:59 PM

This wouldn't be about Taylor Swift the person as much as it would be about Taylor Swift the feeling.

Have you ever seen her greeting cards? They bring me to tears on a regular basis in the card isle. So heartfelt, so girly, with loopy cursive hand-writing and glitter. Inspirational messages and pictures of a guy and girl, captured in a heartfelt moment.

Have you heard her songs? About hope, and love, and believing in yourself and what you're capable of.

Have you seen how she dresses? Honestly. If it could be more fantastic and whimsical and vintage and country I might just die.

So thats what this swap would be about. All that fun nonsense and being girls and loving music and dreaming about that special boy.

I would like to start in January because:
1) the holidays will be over and all will have more free time.
2) in my part of the world its the most dark, cold, depressing, long month of the year and i could do with a little glitter and sunshine.
3) it seems like nothing much happens around January or February. it'd be nice to have something to look forward to.

As for size, whatever is good for those interested.

Would anyone like to participate?

i've been having trouble with my internet, but chrissews was king enough to lend me her pics. Smiley

feast your eyes upon the crafty awesomeness!!

4 BRILLIANT hair feathers!!! in exactly the style i've wanted but have been putting off buying...cause i'm cheap.  Cheesy and one of them looks suspiciously like a jellyfish. we made me so happy. its the most charming thing ever.

next was a set of sage green hand-painted owl teacups that i am madly in love with. they are so carefully painted, and beautifully done. i love them so much, but sadly, one of the handles broke on the way here. its ok though, cause i have super glue. they fit in so well with the rest of my teacup collection.

and now an item that has been on my wist forever. A TARDIS SEWING BOX!!!!! the top is a pin cushion, and she sent me pins and a measuring tape and thread and a new stitch ripper. it is so great and wonderful. i've already used it to make a dress. i just can't get over how well she did and the time she put into it.  Grin

and last she made lots of gifts for my animals! two mice, two rope toys, and a nom nom for my rabbits. they all love their gifts. i put the pink mouse on a fishing pole and cast it across the house for my girl kitty. she needs the exercise.

she also sent homemade pumpkin cranberry dog/cat treats. they LOVE THEM. my cat ripped open the box they were in and tore open the bag. she's insane.

Chris was one of the best partners i've ever had. no lie. i love everything she sent and appreciate all her work and coperation. thank you so much! i send you love from michigan!

finally posting pictures!! yay!

Zidishaluxe sent me a fabulous package of awesomeness!!
i got the box, and it weighed a ton, i was concerned it might be filled with lead. but it wasn't lead, it was enough Doctor Who stuff to keep me happy forever! the first thing i opened, which was wrapped super carefully was a journal! but not just any journal, its a blank journal of impossible things!! its kind of hybrid of that and River Song's journal, and i adore it to death.

there were four hair fancies, which are exactly to my liking, a lock and key, a lock charm, a bag of tardis blue beads and charms, a beautiful tree of life necklace, a bracelet from Madame De Poumpador herself, a tiny tardis box, and tardis blue nailpolish, feathers, embroidery thread, and some lace and pearls!!

as if that wasn't enough to send me into a state of Doctor induced glee, there was this:

the tenth doctor! on a shirt! wearing his 3D glasses! and its a GIRL'S SHIRT. not a mens tshirt. i can never find womens shirts that are flattering, or that fit. and she sent me one she hand painted! HAND. PAINTED. no stencils here ladies and gents.

it was an amazing package, i appreciate it so much! i even broke in my new shirt by wearing it to ultimate frisbee this week. Cheesy needless to say i rocked it and it gave me mad frisbee skills. thank you Doctor and Zidisha.

such a great partner and swap! THANK YOU! Smiley

this isn't for this swap, but i wanted to post this pic for my fellow Who enthusiasts. my mamma wanted some new art for her walls, and i've been tossing around this idea since i saw my inspirition on deviantart. the talented vonmonkey did the original.

i can't wait for the paint to dry so i can hang it in our hallway!

annachronism, i'm so glad you liked everything! so happy to see almost everything is gone. Cheesy

i got my package today! i have been waiting on the mailman everyday for a week, and today when he pulled up in his car, i told my parents not to look at him or what he put in the mailbox. if we looked, i'm conviced i wouldnt' have gotten it. so we didn't look, and i recieved!!

i apologise for not being picture heavy, having some issues with the internet again today. ahhh, the joys of dial-up and living in the country.

AN ADIPOSE!!!!!!!! but not just an adipose, and genuine adipose from ENGLAND!! the first thing i saw was him, and he is super incredible soft. when things are really soft, the first thing i do is touch it with my mouth. i don't know why, don't ask questions. but it smells fabulous! when my mom asked what it smelled like, i replied: "England. it smells like England." he even has stubby little toes and thumbs! i love him. Grin

next was a Doctor Who book! i have to wait to read it until i've started the seasons with Matt Smith. i am so excited. i might just die. then was a Doctor Who magazine! which i started to read, until i realized it was loaded with spoilers, so that too must wait. but it doesn't get neater. Doctor Who stuff. from England. oh my goodness. Cheesy

and she sent me one of the most fabulous postcards ever seen. the crowns! it is now on my wall with the rest of my postcard collection.

on to the candy!
not neccisarily candy, but Twinnings tea! i love Twinnings.
Milkybar Buttons (haven't opened)
Dib Dab (haven't opened)
Maltesers (fabulous!)
Love Hearts (they're kinda like the sweetheart things we have in the US during valentines. but these taste MUCH better, and the things they say are oh so amazing. one said "best mate." BEST MATE. kill me now.)
Parma Violets (the weirdest candy it has ever been my pleasure to taste)
Dairy Milk & Dairy Milk with vanilla cream filling (both fabulous)
A funny suprise egg i can't read the name to (the foil is all crushed and i haven't opened it yet.)
Turkish Delight (oh. my. chocolate covered jelly. i bit into it and it was not what i expected, but it is good once you realize its supposed to be that way.)
Crunchie (unopened)
After Eight (unopened)
Refreshers (unopened)

i am so excited to try them all! i'm opening them one at a time and only eating one piece from each. my teeth will thank me.

thanks again! you were an awesome partner annachronism! one of the neatest swaps ever with a fabulous partner!
