1  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Air Fox One on: September 18, 2016 01:38:42 PM

Just a bit of fun. Actually made the fox ages ago. Was taking a break from wet felting (letting my fingers dry out and unwrinkle) so decided it was time to liberate the fox! =^..^=
2  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Eco Printed Beaded Bracelet on: September 05, 2016 12:30:07 PM

Ended up eco printing this twice. I really like the embroidery and beads to finish it off!
3  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Tribal Necklace - Walking in Circles on: August 30, 2016 07:02:23 AM

Merino, some core fiber, copper, embroidery floss, beads

I have been so busy this summer editing classes, that I have had very little time to work on my own stuff. I have been doing some eco printing experiments when I have had a little time. Used a bit of free time to try to put those beads to some use. I certainly have not mastered eco printing, but it's fun and usually a bit of a surprise - reminds me of Raku - you can have a basic idea how something will turn out, but there are always surprises.
Eco printed some more beads yesterday. Probably won't open them until tomorrow. Hope there will be some good results!
4  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / eco printed pendant on: July 18, 2016 07:11:47 AM

I've been trying to fit in some more experiments between editing classes. Really liked this particular eco print. Took me a while to figure out how to use it. =^..^=
5  FIBER ARTS / Dyeing: Completed Projects / Eco Printed Wool Bead on: July 10, 2016 07:43:47 AM

I've been experimenting with this for a week now. Have a lot more examples that I haven't photographed yet, but I really liked this one and took a photo this morning. Last night's batch also has some lovely greens. I only opened one to have a peek. I won't be able to examine and photograph those for another day or two! =^..^=
6  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Wire and Fiber Brooch on: April 29, 2016 07:06:42 AM

Latest experiments from my craft table - working with wire and fiber to create brooches. =^..^=
7  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Inspired by Polymer Clay - Felted Necklace on: April 18, 2016 02:45:00 PM

I've been meaning for well over a year to work on this idea. Will probably make up another prototype to refine construction and possibilities before putting it together as a class. =^..^=
8  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Chinese Dragon Bracelet on: April 12, 2016 11:10:01 AM

This was made with the second 3D printed mold that I had made up. It has some "issues" in terms of construction, but still pretty neat!! =^..^=

9  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / 3D printed - Needle Felted Bracelet ;) on: April 09, 2016 12:45:43 PM

No - the bracelet was not 3D printed! A friend and I designed the mold for the bracelet links and THAT was 3D printed!! Smiley

For the trial run using the mold, I didn't do anything fancy. For future bracelets, I will want to try to accurately calculate how much fiber per use of the mold is ideal. This time I just guessed so there's variation in thickness and density.

10  FIBER ARTS / Felting: Completed Projects / Wet felted earrings on: March 16, 2016 03:17:34 PM

Got these really nice findings. They're meant to be used with polymer clay, but I had to see if I couldn't put fiber on them successfully! Smiley

Mission accomplished!!! =^..^=
