2  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / How to crochet a hexagon in single crochet? on: February 20, 2006 08:03:09 PM
Can someone tell me or direct me to a link on how to crochet a hexagon shape in single crochet?
Can I just use the format for DC and just make it in SC? Would that work?
Thanks for any help you can give:)

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / K0 (1,0) ???? on: December 25, 2005 07:49:24 PM

The instructions say:

What does that mean? (I do understand K2tog).
Could someone pls help?
Thanks so much.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / keyhole scarf on: December 25, 2005 09:20:06 AM
This will sound like a silly question.
I have looked at several keyhole scarf patterns.
I am trying to understand what exactly happens at the hole.
They all seem to involve another ball of yarn at that point, and I just can't get a mental picture of what I am supposed to do.
Could someone please clarify it just in general terms. (i.e. I don't need a pattern, just an explanation)
I really would like to make one.
Thank you so much.
7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knitted Stitch Symbols on: December 24, 2005 02:13:39 PM
I am wondering if knitters use symbols (like crocheters)?
If they do, can you recommend a site or a book that would explain them.
Thank you.
8  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Help please with Coronet on: December 19, 2005 03:50:31 PM

I am working on the above pattern.
Could someone tell me how to pick up those stitches around the brim when I get to the actual Hat-part?
Do I go through both strands or just one? (I hope this does not sound like a real stupid question)
Thank You:)
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My first post here on: December 19, 2005 08:49:31 AM
This is the 4th scarf I completed, but my first post here. (I've only been knitting for about 6 weeks)
As a new knitter, I appreciate any constructive criticism.

I hope it works.
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / cables on: December 18, 2005 08:27:19 AM
I had my first adventure with cables last night.
No real problems, a little slow, which is something that I expected.
What I found though was that they tend to get tighter and tighter as I go along. Is that to be expected or is it a problem with my tension?
Any suggestions on how to avoid it?

Thank you all in advance, you have been very helpful in the past few weeks:)
