If that were made from bigger rings that would make a great shoulder strap for a purse. It's so cheerful!
82  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: <3 Technicolor Dreamcoat <3 ***more pics!*** on: March 01, 2011 03:54:25 PM

This shawl is wonderful. My eyes are happy. Darn it, they may even be smizing.

I love steampunk too but I am nowhere as good as you at executing the look. That bat is seriously cute. Those beady little eyes (ha! pun!) are a great touch. If you don't mind my asking what element made you decide on "bat" versus something else?
84  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Cowl Sleeve Designer Churidhaar Suit on: March 01, 2011 10:55:25 AM
Those sleeves are pretty; makes me want to sew a shirt to try using that as a detail. Think it would work in a heavier fabric? But what I really think makes the tunic pop is the way the trim comes to a diamond in the front. I wish there was a close-up of the trim it looks like a pretty pattern. Very nice all around, great fabric selections.
85  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Re: Feather Hair Extension Supplies on: February 20, 2011 09:55:52 PM
I don't know if you're still looking for these but finefeatherheads.com sells the extensions. Looking for goose feather biots might net you some results too. And both Hobby Lobby and Joanne's carry the biots. You might try hte floral section of craft stores too. They usually have some longer feathers to put in floral arrangements. 2 cents.

I think what really makes this is that gorgeous lampshade. It looks very finished, very professional. Are the flute pieces supported through the middle to make them stand straight?

I just saw this and love it. It's so cute without being twee. Also I now know what to do with the broken pocket watch I own that can't be fixed.  Wink
