Those look really awesome! What a great idea. I have most of that stuff already, the only thing I need to get is the sweetened condensed milk, and that's not very expensive anyways. Smiley
12  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Do guys crochet? on: February 15, 2011 02:33:17 PM
My Grams and Gramps lived in a rural Alaskan village. My gramps was a hard worker and tried to pass that value on to everyone he could. He got stomach cancer and was soon stuck in bed. While he still had strength, grams taught him to crochet. He made pillows for all his children and the grandchildren he had at the time. Mine is black and pink, it's about 27 years old. I keep it stored now for safe keeping.

Yay frogs! It makes me smile. Smiley I know it sounds strange, but Red Heart Super Saver is my favorite yarn. Don't get me wrong I've been crocheting for over 15 years and have used all kinds of yarn, but when you're on a budget and need to make a gift red heart is great. Anywho, back to the main point. Grin  I love it! I picture him having to mind his little sister sitting on a lily pad or something.
14  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Origami at -40 F O.o on: February 14, 2011 04:02:52 PM
So I've been enjoying everyone else's projects here for a while. This is my first post sharing my projects. It's been pretty cold here in Fairbanks, AK -40 F is freaking cold to me. My husband and I have had to put insulating plastic on all the windows. Even our bay window, wich makes it pretty much useless. We decided to decorate the bay window this weekend before we sealed it up. I couldn't put any holes in the woodwork, (we're renting) so I tied yarn on both ends of the curtain rod and hung paper cranes across it. I folded a bunch of origami lotus and put them all over the bottom, along with a few other things.

*****I'm sorry for posting this in the wrong place. I just realized that I did. Sad****

Ooo I can't wait to try this out.  I never thought of making my own bath bombs.  Grin I'm allergic to witch hazel and could never use the ones that people gave me.
