What a cute project. I love all of your different themes--there's definitely something for everyone there.  I bet they will be a hit with the kids at your daughter's school.  I've made a couple of felt cuffs and they are so fun to wear.

That is so cute!  Just this afternoon I was trying to remember a similar item I saw at a toy store in Minneapolis.  My sister and I almost bought one just to have the pattern on hand, but of course we were sure we would remember how it was made, and of course I totally forgot.

So . . . anyway, how did you make it?  I know my son and his cousins would love one of those.
7  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: I'm Indecisive...Can My Fellow Craftsters Give Me Their 2 Cents? Business Name! on: May 18, 2007 03:45:16 PM
I like Quickest Girl.  That's my favorite. Plus, QG are cool initials.

That is gorgeous!! My two year old son would LOVE a toy like that.  He is a budding bird nerd like his dad  Grin

Did you use a pattern or just make it up as you went along?  If you have the time to post a tutorial that would be awesome. I need to try to make one of these!
9  UNITED STATES / Minnesota / St. Cloud on: February 06, 2007 01:56:09 PM
I am new to the St. Cloud area and I want to meet some other folks who like crafting and chatting as much as I do.  I am a stay-at-home mom to one child and I spend my free time being an equal-opportunity crafter (I'll try anything once  Grin )

If you live in the area and want to meet a new person for crafternoons or craft-related shopping sprees or if you can give me the inside scoop on anything local and interesting or fun or funky, I want to hear from you!
10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Recovered ironing board on: January 31, 2007 11:57:39 AM
OK I have to know how you did this. It looks really cool.  I have an ironing board with the same problem and new covers are kind of expensive (for me anyway).  Plus it would be fun to have a "custom cover" to spruce up my sewing room.  But I am wondering how you got it to lay so flat? I am nervous that if I made my own it wouldn't lay perfectly flat and then it would get wrinkly and wouldn't be useful.  But maybe I'm overthinking it?

great job!
