1  Re: Use What You Have Swap Round 2 - Gallery in The Swap Gallery by sowool on: April 04, 2015 06:20:32 PM
I received from kwality570!  Grin

I am always making lists and jotting things down, so she made me this lovely notebook! It is absolutely perfect for my gardening notes this year!

The inside is made of lovely project life cards Smiley

A Minecraft grass block cube. All of my kids are obsessed with Minecraft, and this gem was claimed less than half a second after it was unwrapped! It is now a darling pen holder for my son's desk:)

A set of gorgeous note cards made from gelli prints she made. I love the striking colors! I'm going to hold onto these for a special occasion.

This crocheted basket she made me is the perfect size (and colors) for holding our table napkins.

And last, she sent a fun spring break project for my family to do next week. Our town's mascot is the pirate, so we are going to make some awesome spirit wear with these iron-ons.

Thank you for the lovely package, kwality570!!!   Kiss

2  Re: Luck of the Irish Rd 3 Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by sowool on: March 05, 2015 06:55:35 AM
I received from Luvebuggy99!

First up, a painted wood plaque titled "Tied the Knot" with a very special date on it...my wedding date! This St. Patrick's Day we are celebrating 11 wonderful years together:)

Next, she sent me another painted wood plaque with one of my favorite Irish sayings,  "Cad Mle Filte" One Hundred Thousand Welcomes.

Then we have an aged dictionary page art piece painted with three shamrocks.

Unfortunately, not everything made it in one piece. No worries, though...I can still use the candle. If you have any before pictures, Luvebuggy99, feel free to post!

Thank you, Heather! I love everything and have enjoyed swapping with you!

I received my lovely box of PINK (and gold) from smileyyogini! Here we go Grin

A beautiful pink dandelion wish painting on canvas! Olive already picked a spot on her wall for it to go!

Eek...Gorgeous pink rose curtain tiebacks for my daughter's room. They are absolutely perfect!

Ankle Bells! She has been dancing all afternoon with these on...making "happy music"! Love it!

A set of handmade notecards with envelopes! Lovely!

An on-the-go knitting bag! I can keep my ball of yarn in it and knit with it hanging from my arm!

Ahh, a sleeping mask Cheesy I can't wait to try this out! One side pink and one side gold satin. It is also filled with rice, so a quick zap in the microwave to soothe me into sleep during these cold winter nights!

Pinkalicious Extras! A candle, scented marker, and beautiful glittery ribbon!

I love everything!!! Thank you so very much, Melody!!!!!

6  Re: Mini 13 Days of Halloween Round 6 in The Swap Gallery by sowool on: September 08, 2014 02:30:04 PM
Halloween goodies from Calixita!!! Eek...can't wait!!!

First Box

Second Box

My countdown begins!!!

Cute little package and I adore all the black cat tags she made!

Absolutely gorgeous beaded and stitched skull earrings! Totally love!

Thank you, Calixita...I'm definitely  going to be wearing these all year around! And thank you for making sure the wires were nickle-free so my ears don't swell up like big red balloons;)

Woohoo...Bats, Bats, Bats (and spiders, too)!!! I had bat cutouts on my wishlist and Calixita sure did deliver....piles and piles of different shaped bats! I'm going to attach them to my walls this weekend and will post an action shot then Grin

A (crocheted?) bones and cauldron softie! Oh, my goodness....this is absolutely adorable!

I think there a was a bit of a mishap with day 10.  When I was unwrapping, some of the ribbon and packing peanuts near the top was stuck to the gift with paint. I took it all off, but now I'm not sure if I was suppose to remove that top ribbon or not. Correct me if I'm wrong, Calixita!

Its a spooky glass bottle with an etched skull design on it and flying bats at the top!

An awesome gravesite statuette! I especially love the little blackbird sitting on the grave marker.

On the back is is a image of a dancing skeleton. I had this fun little guy pinned on my halloween board.....I can't help but smile when I see it!

What a great art piece to add to my Halloween decor! Thanks, Calixita!

A spooky haunted house! I love all of the tiny details....the teeny spiderwebs, a creepy skull peeking out of the top window, the two flying ghosts, a little witches broom and a wee bat hanging off the back of the roof. Awesomeness!!!

"Calling cats tends to be a rather overrated activity. Might as well call a whirlwind. The Cat from Coraline!!! I absolutely love that movie and also have quite an obsession with black cats! He is perfect, Calixita!!!

I can't get over the tags Calixita made...isn't it gorgeous!

It's a DVD player! Oh, wait.... Wink

A beautiful boo wreath for my door! I love all of the different textures she used. Glossy black branches, knit and cloth flowers and leather leaves.

Alcohol Ink Dyed Tile Coasters!!! Eeep!

Not only am I in desperate need of a "not your usual run-of-the-mill coaster" set, but I am in love with this style of art. Beautiful work, Calixita!

Okay, so it has been a crazy weekend, and I really couldn't get to opening up my gifts each day...so sorry, Calixita! So, I opened packages 4,3,2, and 1 this morning (which was totally fun, I'm not gonna lie Wink). Here are my impressive goodies!

A stenciled pillow cover with what has become one of my favorite images. That must have taken FOREVER to make all of those cuts! It looks fabulous!

Goodies for my goblins! My oldest is into vampires, my middle son loves zombies, and my youngest is all about pink. You nailed it...they all love their shirts!

Action shots....my middle son woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning, so I couldn't convince him to let me take his picture. He did love the design and color, though, and ended up wearing his new shirt to school today:)

Olive says if her big brother doesn't want it, she does...haha!

OH MY GOODNESS!!! Shocked Check this thing out! A peyote bracelet!!! It is absolutely amazing and fits my wrist perfectly! I can't imagine how long it took you to do this. Love, love, love!!!

Yay! She made a shirt for me, as well! Great choice of shirt with the flowers and loving the little heart details. I seriously love this image....I'm even considering getting it tattooed on my ribcage! Grin

Napkins and colorful skeleton garland!

I had a blast swapping with you, Calixita!!! Time to kick back, have a glass of wine, and enjoy the rest of the season! Happy Halloween everyone!!!

I received an AWESOME package from Watsonc7!!!

First up, she made me a mesh tote bag to carry sand and water toys. Just in time, too; we are going to the beach this weekend!

For my oldest son, a "Part Wolf" Shirt and for my youngest son, an upside down "Stunt Man" shirt. They have a super soft hand and were a big hit. Both of the boys immediately changed out of the shirts they were wearing and sported these around the rest of the day. Then, pleaded with me to wash the shirts so they could wear them to school the next day:)

A knitting needle roll! YAY!!! I currently have all my needles thrown in a plastic container; I desperately needed one of these! Lovely fabric, as well:)

A Sasha Clock:) This made me so happy! It is a picture of my dog, Sasha, mounted to foam board with a clock kit. She made one side color and one side b/w, so I could choose:) Love it!

She even made Sasha a fleece toy. Sasha isn't a tugger, but she LOVES to play fetch. The handle on this is perfect for me to grab a hold of and chuck it for her.

And last up, something that I wanted so much, but never thought I would actually receive. A gathering apron!!! This is my second year of organic gardening and have doubled the size of my garden this year. This apron will most definitely be used...a lot! Gorgeous fabric and well made!!!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You, Christy!!! You really put a lot of care into this package and I really appreciate it. I adore every last thing you made for me!!!

I received an awesome package from rantyhippie today!

First up is a sugar skull necklace.....this has been a hot commodity in my house this evening:) My youngest son REALLY wanted this, so I went ahead and gave it to him. About an hour later I saw my daughter wearing it. Apparently my daughter found a Minecraft toy that my son had been looking for and traded it for the necklace...lol.

Rantyhippie also made this lovely skull doily....I absolutely love, love, love this!!!

Here I have my little helpers holding up the last item....a sugar skull garland:) I can't imagine how long it took to make that!

I adore everything, rantyhippie! Thank you so much!  Grin
