1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Poe Breaks the Moon on: April 17, 2019 04:12:22 PM
Poe was not happy. She had been left alone for almost an entire hour. She could see a little bit of the bottom of her food dish, her water bowl was room temperature, not chilled the way she liked, and, worst of all, she was bored. So when she wandered outside and saw that someone had carelessly left the moon laying around, what happened next really wasn't her fault...

Title: "Poe Breaks the Moon"

 Cheesy

2  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A painting with a story :) on: March 25, 2019 02:48:50 PM
I love to paint paintings that have a story to go along with them. Here is the story that I imagined when painting this one:

The little brown rabbit lived under the tall evergreen trees nestled in the Purple Mountains. He ran and played, jumped and danced, and frolicked happily by the water's edge, making everyone who met him smile and laugh at his joy. One day, as he sat under the tallest tree in the forest, he heard a marvelous sound. A mockingbird had landed on a nearby branch and sang such a beautiful song that the little brown rabbit felt as if his heart would burst. He wanted to sing along more than he had ever wanted anything in his entire life, and he felt the music build up inside him, but try as he might, he could not utter a single note. The poor little bunny cried out in despair and asked the mockingbird how he, too, could sing. The mockingbird replied that it would require a great adventure and told him how it could be done. That very afternoon, the little brown rabbit set sail in a little boat. His adventure had begun.
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / The Dragon and The Princess on: January 31, 2019 01:57:12 PM
I just finished this painting. It has lots of metallic finishes in the scales on on the dragons face. I used acrylic paint and Pearl Ex pigment powder. Soooooo many layers and so much fun!
4  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Inktober on: October 14, 2018 12:32:22 PM
I was wondering if anyone else here is participating in Inktober this year? These are mine so far (I've actually been keeping up! Whew!). I would love to see everyone else's work!

5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Need. More. Coffee. on: September 20, 2018 03:16:27 PM
Hello all! It's been awhile since I've checked in here. I just wanted to share some of the art I've been working on lately. In particular, these crazy, little coffee addicts! Cheesy

6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Painted Ukulele on: December 01, 2017 02:05:26 PM
I think a ukulele is the most unusual thing I've ever painted! It was a little nerve racking because I didn't want to mess the instrument up! I still need to coat it with a sealer, but I think it's finished.

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / What Lies Beneath on: September 27, 2017 01:16:05 PM
Continuing with the slightly darker vibe that seems to be sneaking into all my recent work, here is my latest painting. Does anyone else create art that reflects their mood, or is that just me?  Roll Eyes

8  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / The Usual Suspects on: August 16, 2017 04:19:09 PM
One of the suspicious looking characters in this line up ate all the lettuce in the garden.

I usually paint woodland type animals, but I felt like doing something different this time (and llamas amuse me so much!)  Wink
9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Goth Kitties! on: August 14, 2017 02:09:37 PM
Sometimes I like to paint something a little cute and a little creepy! Cheesy

10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / A Snowy Night on: January 03, 2017 11:38:49 AM
Even though I hate winter and I can't wait for it to be warm outside again, I can't stop painting snowy scenes! Haha! (I would totally be the bear in this painting Cheesy ).
