1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Pomatomas Socks! on: April 12, 2009 07:29:43 AM
Hey Craftster!

I finished these socks a bit ago, using this FREE pattern: http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter05/PATTpomatomus.html

With a US#2 needles and Pagewood Farm Glacier Bay Hand Dyed Sock Yarn, they turned out well.

The stitch pattern incorporates twisted stitches which are a bit hard to get used to at first but are well worth it. I've seen some nice fingerless gloves with this pattern as well. The repeat is 22 rows but after a few rounds you'll be able to guess what happens next.

More pics found at my blog, the direct link to the post: http://sarahknitsnotnever.blogspot.com/2009/03/i-finished-my-socks.html

Make some!
2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Strawbeary from Amigurumi: Super Happy Crochet Cute. on: May 21, 2008 01:55:07 PM
I now present Strawbeary from Amigurumi: Super Happy Crochet Cute by Elisabeth Doherty.

overall, the pattern was pretty straightforward, the feet aside. I do NOT recommend crocheting with fun fur on a g hook, EVER!

More pics on the blog, they are sort of large.

3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Wicked-inspired MALABRIGO striped cardi. on: May 14, 2008 01:34:12 PM
I knit this based WAAAAY Loosely off of Wicked. (http://www.zephyrstyle.com/catalog/item.cfm/2367447/3974522)

Instead of a cable rib, I did a 3x3 bobble rib, and turned the whole thing into a long-sleeved cardigan. I'm in love with it. If i knit it again, I wouldn't have subtracted stitches to account for the button bands.

For help with turning Wicked into a cardigan, check my blog directly here: http://sarahknitsnotnever.blogspot.com/2008/05/malabrigo-cardigan.html

or message me.

4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knitty's Wavy Scarf, Malabrigo! on: February 16, 2008 11:43:20 AM
I finally finished my WAVY scarf!
I used #8's and 2 skeins of Malabrigo. If you've never knit with it- do it! it's like knitting with velvet.

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Easy, top down raglan, bulky yarn. pattern on blog. on: February 16, 2008 10:05:24 AM
I originally bought this Lion-Brand Thick and Quick to make something from Twinkle's book. The patterns are extremely vague, and the sweater I'd previously made from it made me look like a marshmallow.

So- I designed this!

Lion brand Thick and Quick:
US 15's,
2 stitches per inch.

The pattern can be found on my blog, directly here: http://sarahknitsnotnever.blogspot.com/2008/02/self-designed-sweateri.html

enjoy, email me if you have any questions.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Hot pink Malabrigo sweater, Wicked, with mock cable pocket. on: January 22, 2008 10:55:56 AM
I have already posted this on Ravelry, but I feel like craftster needs to be introduced to the wonderfullness of Zephyr Style Patterns. http://www.zephyrstyle.com/patterns.html
This sweater knit from Wicked, with a few minor tweaks along the hemline.
It's a quick, seamless knit with worsted weight and size 7 needles. For the sleeves, i went down to a size 6 so they were more fitted. I used 3 and a tiny bit of a fourth ball of malabrigo worsted. (216 per ball) I hope you like it!

7  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Adorable amigurimi mice! on: November 26, 2007 07:07:18 PM
I just got invited to ravelry, and I am in LOVE with the pattern browser. It lead me to this cute little pattern for crochet mice.

I used odds and ends of Lambs Pride, Lion and Pattons wool.

I was intending to give the gray one away as a gift, but i got too attached, and thus the white one was born 30 minutes later.

Hope you like them!
8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / PANDA hat with crazy eyes on: November 15, 2007 08:23:44 PM
Last month, i got a speeding ticket and began crafting for kids in my building to pay it off. I paid the $125 ticket off a while back, but I'm still selling hats to my dormmates. My friend kris asked me to make him a panda hat, and this is what i came up with.

It's a standard beanie, with added circles for the ears and eyes.

thanks for looking!
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Short sleeved cardigan from Fitted Knits on: October 29, 2007 03:02:55 PM
I finally got around to sewing the buttons onto the fitted knits cardigan!

I love it, and the buttons. A highly recommended pattern, and book.

I knit it from cascade 128 in tweed eggplant, on the recommended needle size. I messed up a little bit with the yarn over increases, so it's a little snug. Oh, the importance of which way you wrap the needle!!

More pics and details on the blog.
