21  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Crochet Toothless on: July 10, 2011 05:42:18 PM
Who doesn't love Toothless?

Made on commission for a friend he's about 18 inches long and took probably 15 hours to make. Not too sure though since I worked on him slowly over a few weeks.

I think he turned out super cute.

You can also see him on my blog: http://mostlynerdycrochet.blogspot.com/2011/07/crochet-toothless-ii.html

Thanks for looking!
22  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Mr. Squid on: June 25, 2011 05:16:16 PM

Yay squid! I made him to send to New Zealand for a very large public crochet art display (mastermind: http://knittygraffity.blogspot.com/2011/06/it-only-gets-better.html) called the woolly walk along. Sadly enough he only has 7 tentacles, he lost the 8th in a bad accident.. he doesn't like to talk about it. (7th tentacle not pictured).

So Mr. Squid is about 4.5 feet long and 16.5 inches high. He's a full on amigurumi attached to a long "scarf" so he can be sewn on to a railing. This has been my first tagging project and it's been fun! You can read more about him here: http://mostlynerdycrochet.blogspot.com/2011/06/mr-squid-is-done.html

Thanks for stopping by!

That obsessed friend wouldn't happen to be me now would it? No? Can I become your friend?

Hahah these are freaking fantastic! And the Zoidberg riding the sperm? Oh my gosh that's perfect.
24  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Duo Baby Benders with Beer! on: April 10, 2011 09:43:09 PM
I love these! And you won't believe this... but I've been working on my own crochet baby Bender off and on since I saw Lethal Inspection too! <3 Awesome Futurama lovin' minds think alike, huh? Perhaps my little bending unit of joy can play with your two cuties once (if?) he makes it off the production line?

Great work!

Yes!! Oh my goodness I would love to see yours when it's finished! The cuteness of baby bender is impossible to resist! Seriously though, keep in contact, I really want to see him!

They are both awesome... and the cerveza looks refreshing Cheesy

OK, so I didn't take any Spanish in school so I had to pause the DVD over and over again until I figured out what the %$@& his bottle said. I felt like a complete idiot once I figured it out hahaha.

Taken straight out of the episode "lethal inspection" these lovable little Benders come complete with Mexican beer!
The first one I just made for myself, but the second was commissioned. I'm actually a little jealous! The second
one is better than my first!

These guys take about 30 hours to complete, so it's a darn good thing I have no job. Bender is also one of the most fun,
and frustrating, amigurumi I've made. I think because he is so BIG! That darn beer bottle is life sized my friends!

This was a very ambitious project, but I'm proud of the way they turned out. I love being able to throw myself into a
project, and these guys definitely have been my most complex design.

Anyway if you would like to read a little more about my ramblings on the project and my love of Futurama feel free to

Omg! So cute! Do you think i could have the pattern you used? I so wanna make one X3 I'd credit you of coarse. :3

I really really appreciate your interest but I've been using the pattern to sell the plushies and I need to keep it under lock and key for now. There are several free patterns on deviant art though! I really recommend you check it out!

A couple of weeks ago I posted a really big Toothless plush. Such a giant and awesome plush was never to be topped, until he was condensed into half his original size! Now I'm not usually one to be all self promoting but OH MY this guy is sooooo cute! When I finished him I could only speak in a new language based on cute, and my husband couldn't stop laughing.

I would like to apologise in advance though because I won't be sharing or selling the pattern. About a third of the stuff I make I happily post directions, but this time I will be keeping the pattern to earn a (sort of) income.

Anyway here is the original posting from my blog of the "mini" Toothless. http://mostlynerdycrochet.blogspot.com/2011/04/why-is-it-smaller-item-cuter-it-gets.html

Oh and here's a picture of the little and big one together!

Thank you for looking! I just had to share my excitement!
