This is absolutely beautiful. You have the patience of a saint, esp. when it comes to weaving all those ends in! Grin

This is beautiful and inspiring. I don't normally paint, but this makes me want to start!

Nice. I especially like how you added the earth, air, fire, water symbols to the bottom. I totally felt the same way about black fabric the first few times I used it. So I put it down for a while and practiced on other types / colors of fabric. Then, when I came back to black, it was remarkably easier.

OMG these are super duper cute! I've been trying to come up with a great way to frame my embroidery, and, as a fellow crochet-er, this may just be it! So lovely. I think I know what I'm doing when I get home from work!

I didn't really like this song to begin with, it's definitely grown on me. Now every time I hear it, there's a new piece I want to stitch from it. FYI I've edited the post to include a link to to the video, if anyone is interested.  Smiley

Wow! Thanks!

Great job. The crayon tinting looks great. I've always wanted to try tinting. Did you tint your piece before or after stitching?

I just finished this piece this morning and had to share, so sorry that it has that fresh off the hoop look.

I'm not an expert by any means on cross stitch, and I'm pretty sure I may have made up a few stitches along the way, but overall I'm very, very pleased with it. I free handed the piece (I think next time I'll definitely plan out the lettering), only using reference points for the grenade. The grenade is definitely my favorite!  Grin

This piece is a direct result of this song being stuck in my head for months, and me having an aha! moment and realizing it would be awesome as an embroidered piece. Now I think I may do the rest of the chorus.

Oh and the technical stuff: done on 14 count black aida (it kind of looks blue in the picture), using 3 strands of floss.

C&C welcome.

Edit: The song is: "Grenade" by Bruno Mars

OMG cute. He looks like he's super hyper and moments from spontaneously bouncing everywhere. Even if it isn't what you hadn't originally intended, he came out great!
