11  scarves for me in Knitting: Completed Projects by Suzie Penguin on: November 26, 2005 12:28:43 PM
It has been so long since I made anything for myself. I realized I haven't really made any scarves I love. So, with the long weekend, I knit my arms off. And I love what came off those needles.

This is the Lion Brand homespun/moonlight mohair spiral scarf. Tip: If you have never worked with more than say 200+ stitches on a circ needle, things can fall off easily. If I made this again I would use longer needles than what the pattern calls for. Oh, and don't try this in the dark, you will drop stitches when you're not supposed to.

And this is my favorite new thing...
It's the ribbon drop stitch scarf from SnBN, but I tweeked it a little. It's with the beautiful Caron Pizazz ribbon yarn #005 Meadow.

The tweeked pattern:
CO 14
knit 2 rows
*k1, yo1, repeat from *
*k1, drop yo off needle, repeat from *
knit 2 rows
*k1, yo2, reapeat from * (just wrap the yarn around the needle twice)
*k1, drop yo2 off needle, repeat from *
knit 2 rows

continue in this pattern until it's as long as you like. End on garter stitch or it will be really hard to get the fringe in. Here's a close up of the stitch pattern:

That's my first time writing out a pattern. Does it make sense?

Everyone go knit your arms off!

i just finished the baby emperor penguin as a gift for my boyfriend. We saw march of the penguins when it first came out and he's been imitating baby penguin chirps ever since.

EEkk, I love all the penguins here, but that one takes the ice! It is so cute. It even has personality wiith it's little wings up. Great job!

I got my wonderful revamp yesterday from Wildflowerz.  I love, love it!  How did you get the glitter work so clean?
Here is the before and after pictures

Ok, that is great. My grandmother would say that is kinda what the orginal picture was about anyway. That must have taken forever to do.

this is my before picture I just picked up today and will be sending out to wildflowerz tomorrow:

Oh my god!!!! I had that picture in my room when I was little. It's called 'Over the Garden Wall'. I loved it so much. The silly movers broke the glass when we moved. I think it's still in the attic. I can't wait to see what you do with it!!!

15  Her and me make 3 collage in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by Suzie Penguin on: August 08, 2005 05:15:41 PM
Here are a trio of collages I made about myself, my friend Annie, and our friendship. Now, this is working with what I had at 3 in the morning while she was painting. There was much inspiration from her. She's a great muse. (Just don't go all Jason Lee in Dogma on me, Annie!)

I love being able to share/show off on Craftster!
