Queen Hobo-- I love your shark blanket!! It's so cool- what a fantastic idea (and nice job on the teeth!) and your sloth is adorable. Also, that Harry potter cross stitch is pretty great! Heehehehe.

Storerboughtcreations-- that candy corn sweater is so fun! I love the boldness of fall and Halloween colors! And that Frankenstein sweater is amazing! I love the colors!
The tardis is fantastic! I don't think I would have the patience to ever finish something like that. I definitely admire your focus and perseverance!
OHMYGOSH soot sprites are like one of my favorite things ever, and yours is the cutest!
And I love your little throwback frog and sock monkeys, and that bunny looks so cuddly!

roler-- oh my gosh! That uchiwa looks awesome! I'm so inspired to try to make something that can light up!
And i love love love that little felt kitty.! Tongue

RedheadwithThread- Cool Toddler harness! I love functional crafts : ) And that little drawstring bag is adorable.

Noxika- *sigh* your dolls Smiley I love the detail, especially the hair.  Sorry this has probably been answered in past threads, but do you root them? (Or how do you do their scalp?)

Smeddley- cute little monsters!! I really like their little ears! Tongue

Bunny1kenobi - I like your painting- -and also, I just realized I need to start thinking about Christmas!!

Digging the mask and notebook!!

Thank you!

That mask made me think of S3 E2 episode of Buff. The mask that brings the dead back to life as zombies. That show was full of all sorts of classic style monsters. Dracula even makes an appearance. And the invisible man totally counts as a classic!

I'm not a huge monster movie fan (aside from MST3K), so Hooray!

Mountains and Clouds - still super love the face wall hanging. I seem to recall gushing over an earlier post of the same. I don't know why, but his face is so compelling.

Also, I love your stoneware. They make me uber happy.

Thank you! I wonder if anyone would be interested in a mask for a raffle prize next round?

Prompt: September Battle Royale: Monster Movies

Team: Randomizer

Bonus Points: WIP

Project Name: Face Wall-Hanging

Project Link:

Brief Description:  This guy was sitting around for the longest time unglazed, and I finally forced myself to just finish him. He is a little bit reminiscent of the Invisible Man (does that count as a monster movie?).

Project Picture:

Prompt: September : Star Wars

Team: Randomizer

Bonus Points: WIP

Project Name: Another Lidded Pot

Project Link:

Brief Description: Another one I finally decided to finish. When the lid is on, it's very dark inside. You can open the lid to let in the light : )

Project Picture:

Prompt: September: Anime

Team: Randomizer

Bonus Points:

Project Name: Thrown and Carved Cups

Project Link:

Brief Description: These are thrown cups that I then carved. The carving starts off as "drawing" a little bit in the clay before scooping it out.

Project Picture:

Prompt: September: Harry Potter

Team: Randomizer

Bonus Points:

Project Name: Sketchbook Re-bind

Project Link:

Brief Description:  For the first time ever, I finally convinced myself to do the Brooklyn Art Library Sketchbook Project. When I got the book in the mail, I knew that it just wouldn't suffice as is, so I took it apart, cut some new paper to add in, and re-bound it. It reminds me a little bit of Tom Riddle's diary.

craftADDchick, thank you for your wonderful and thoughtful comments!  And now a few answers to your questions...

- Blythe bodies are about the same size as skipper, so I have trouble sewing small details on a machine (although some people are are absolutely amazing at it)!

- For the mohair wig, I didn't do it the usual and proper wig-making way... I actually used a lambskin pelt. I made a pattern and hand-sewed the pieces together, haha! It stays on okay with a silicone skull cap : )

- Soldate is a very sandy clay (I think originally from California..?), and I like it because it holds shape well and I can throw things fast. (And I love the feel of it after it's all fired). I think throwing plates is really tricky! It's hard to get them flat and not have weird spirally ridges, and I'm always worried the edges will flop down... If I'm trying to make a set of things all the same size, I usually weigh the clay before I throw (I think these were probably 1/2 or 3/4 lbs balls to start).

-Here's the ATC swap info just in case: https://jenniferhinesart.wordpress.com/artist-trading-cards/

I hope your school year is off to a great start!
