271  Gift Bags in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Leslieshappyheart on: January 09, 2011 09:12:18 AM
I made these little gift bags for my mom to give at Christmas to her bridge-playing friends.  They bring a sandwich with them when they meet (hostess provides drinks and dessert) so the bags are intended to be used as a sandwich tote in the future.  The bottoms measure about 3 1/2" by 5 1/2", and they stand 5" tall.  Mom filled them with Christmas goodies to give to her friends, and they loved them!  I tried to use fabrics that would be okay for Christmas, but wouldn't look Christmassy later in the year.

272  Valentine Hearts Stuffies in Valentine's Day by Leslieshappyheart on: January 09, 2011 06:24:18 AM
I love hearts and I made these cute stuffed ones as a decoration for Valentine's Day...I thought of filling them with potpourri, but the scent fades after a while, so I decided the best use for these is to sit on top of a bowl of potpourri, so I can refresh it whenever.  Wrapped together with a decorative bowl and a package of potpourri, these hearts would be a great gift!  (This is my first post; I'm struggling with the photo upload, so if there is no photo, sorry, I'll keep trying!)
