11  My Third Amigurumi Cat in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by FlordeCrafty on: September 09, 2011 07:25:51 AM

Yeah, My third Amigurumi Cat. This one was requested by my son, by the way he loves it!
I had a more challenging time with this project, since it was done in black yarn. It took a little longer than normal to complete.

~Thanks for stopping by and checking it out.

12  My Little Art Room - Pic Heavy in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by FlordeCrafty on: August 03, 2011 05:58:20 PM

This is my first "Art Room/Space" I've ever had to myself to have for creating and keeping my crafty and art projects. This was very exciting and fun to do. Grin

(I had pictures during the redecorating and painting, but I lost them on my old phone that crashed.) Cry

But I have these during the decorating and placement of my areas. Cheesy

The is side was for my collections and closet.

Here is my sewing area and my art rack for paintings, drawings, and supplies.

My drawing table and easel.

As you notice I painted the wall, a light pink and the far wall a sky blue-ish color... as if I was waiting for some clouds to pass on by...

There they are! All cleaned up and more organized.

More art and craft supplies. Plus the shelf on the wall, has all the other items I've posted on this site -that I plan on selling, once I get a large collection.

I replaced my collection shelf with a bookshelf... with my art books, books, graphic manga and graphic novel comics -plus some of my collection peppered around my books and comics.

Here is a book shelf my son gave me and a couple of wall shelfs that I found at the thrift store to show case my action figure collection.

~Thanks for looking

16  My first amigurumi - Droid in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by FlordeCrafty on: April 13, 2011 01:59:38 PM
This is a gift for my fiance, he likes the Droid (From the Android Cell Phone Operating System) and is one of the only mascots he likes. So I made it as a surprise for him. He loved it and it will be living with him at his work desk.

It turned out better than I thought. I didn't use a pattern, but I did watch some videos on begining on a amigurumi. I know there are patterns online, but I made this one up as I went.
The only thing I would have done differently was make this little guy wider/fatter. He looks a little thin -lol

Let me know what you think/tips --Thanks for looking and please feel free to leave a comment!   Cheesy

18  An other Scarf, But it's a Joker Scarf in Crochet: Completed Projects by FlordeCrafty on: March 29, 2011 07:48:35 AM
Yes, an other scarf. I think they are just fun and easy to make.
This time, I was inspired by the DC/Batman cartoon Joker character colors. So it's my Joker Scarf.
When I was taking my pictures, I noticed that it looks like a Mardi Gras scarf -because of the colors.
Maybe I could add something to make it more obvious that it IS a Joker scarf.
Any ideas/suggestions are welcome. ~Thanks in advance, and for taking a look.  Cheesy

19  My first handmade clutch/wallet (pic heavy) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by FlordeCrafty on: March 22, 2011 10:17:39 AM
Well, I got my first sewing machine and after some practing on some scrap fabric I bought on clearance.  Shocked

I thought a small clutch/wallet would be perfet.  Wink

The hardest part, was to line up the graphics -because it wasn't a pattern fabric.

It was a little lop-sided and the top flap kept flopping up.  Embarrassed

I liked how the inside came out.  Grin

So I thought I'd cover my mistakes with lace and make the ribbon for the button interesting. Which I ended up not liking at all.  Cry
But my step-daughter loved it, so I gave it to her.
So it was a win-win, I got some experience on my new machine and she got a new handy school clutch/wallet.

Any thoughts/advice/likes?  Huh ~Thanks in advance and taking a look.  Cheesy

20  Brother 60-Stitch Computerized Sewing Machine, CP6500 in Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions by FlordeCrafty on: March 15, 2011 10:22:30 AM
Hi my fellow Craftsters...
I just set up my sewing machine and table last night.

I did my very first sewing and first clogs that I cleaned and un-cloged my self.
But I didn't really understand the digital stitch selecter. This is my question:

It has 60 stitches to pick from, and then you can adjust I guess length/width? I am not sure if I have that right..... ~Thanks in advance Smiley
