1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / The Fantastically Sublime Steampunk Entomology Book on: January 13, 2011 01:29:29 PM

It has taken me a while, but from an old leather bag I found at the op-shop I crafted this book for a special person (studying to be a myrmecologist). The paper is good quality 200gsm, so he can watercolour and use ink. I hand stitched the leather on the back of the cover. It's not perfect- a few lumpy bits can be seen under the endpapers where I glued the leather on- but I'm pretty damn proud! (As you may tell from the title- hope it doesn't amp the expectations too much). Anyways, here she is.... hope you enjoy Cheesy

...sorry the photos aren't super quality...  Undecided

3  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Introduce Yourself / Pen/pal and crafting buddy wanted!! on: January 05, 2011 02:09:50 PM

Hi.. I wasn't sure if this is the right place to post this.. hope I don't get in trouble... I was wondering if there's anyone who wants to do an old-fashioned snail-mail pen-pal type thing, with added craftiness. I'm 23, Australian, and would like to make some friends o/seas, old-school style. I've only been a member for a couple of days now, I think, so don't have much cred to join a swap, and would prefer an ongoing thing- sending once every month or two months a letter and small/ medium creation.

So..... do you like stuff? Tongue
