I love it! I really enjoy Simon's cat and you did a wonderful job with the book mark!
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Study Bag Wrapping on: January 01, 2011 07:26:31 PM
I love FFA2 fabric! I hope she does well on her GREs. I just took mine this past fall and man was it interesting. I listened to GRE vocab builders 8 hours a day at work for two months straight... it was terrible but it paid off.
3  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Grocery Gift Bag on: January 01, 2011 06:58:51 PM
My bag is nice and simple, made using the Green Bag Lady tutorial ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n7nN36oIBqY )with the addition of a tie so that the bag can be folded and stored neatly (and tied shut for wrapping). It is actually a set of two identical bags that wrapped the hand bag I made for my sister (which also doubles as a larger grocery bag). They fit nicely in her glove compartment Smiley She was thrilled... three gifts in one.

Here it is wrapped with its present

Here it is opened up

And here it is when it is folded down for storage.

4  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Anyone tried Oh Fransson's Tokyo Subway Quilt? on: January 01, 2011 06:58:11 PM
I have not tried this quilt because I am just not up to sewing such small patchwork yet. Im fairly new and I am still trying to get myself to sew scant quarter inch seams. My quarter inch foot just isnt doing it for me Smiley

However, if you are worried it will be too big you can always cut off a row/column or remake the design to fit into the size you want with some grid paper to draw your your subway lines.

That is amazing. Where did you find the hoop or did you make it?

I love it! I especially like that you used the original zipper.
8  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Re: Cards on: January 01, 2011 06:45:26 PM
At our house we use the old cards to make new cards by cutting/pasting/embellishing. We make it fun and tailored to the person it is for... kinda like scrapbooking?
9  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Quilt binding on: January 01, 2011 06:41:57 PM
Great question. I was wondering the same thing.
10  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Re: What are the pros and cons of using this material: on: January 01, 2011 06:40:53 PM
I dont know how well the fleece will stand up to the rigors of being a quilt. I use it to make pet bedding and we usually need to replace it every year. Also, if you do use it, you will need to carefully clean your machine of lint afterwards. It gets everywhere!
