1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / yarn substitutions? on: August 25, 2005 06:33:14 PM
ok all you expert knitters out there I need some help, I am fairly skilled at knitting but am horrible at knowing which yarns substitute Sad
I REALLY want to make the anouk pattern on knittys site but was wondering if there were some cheaper yarns I could use, I was thinking maybe lion brand cotton ease? Let me know what you all think.

2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Re: Diaper Bag on: July 17, 2005 10:08:58 AM
I absolutely LOVE this bag, you did an awesome job!! The fabric combo is great. I told my good friend who is due in about a month that I would make her diaper bag for her, just was wondering the size of your bag because it looks perfect and not having any kids of my own i'm not sure how big is too big or whats the right size.

once again great job!!

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / HELP!! I'm not sure if i'm doing this correctly! on: April 18, 2005 01:25:53 PM
I'm trying to make this baby sweater....http://members.tripod.com/lwalters1-ivil/bauble.html

the instructions say this:
R9: k3, *k1, insert needle under horizontal strand of row below (between sts) and knit this st, repeat from * across, ending k4 (47 sts)

does this mean that i'm knitting the yarn between the stitches on my two needles?? that's what i did and it doesn't look right to me...someone please help!!!

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: why are all baby sweaters on size 3!!! on: April 06, 2005 10:17:29 AM
I made this...http://www.arcadiaknitting.com/projbaby.htm
It uses size 5 needles and goes very fast...also it's knit in one piece so you only have to sew up underarm seams!!! yay I hate sewing up seams...here's a pic of my finished sweater (the links pic isn't that great)
8  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Completed Projects / Re: come one! come all! post pics of your tattoos! on: April 06, 2005 09:46:39 AM
so I just noticed this post and browsed through all 25 pages of it!! Everybody has great tats! After seeing everyone else's I just HAD to post a pic of my one and only (totally relate to the no money to support my habit thing! Smiley ) anyway the pics are crappy because all I have at school is a webcam but here's a few pics of mine....

it doesn't mean anything it's just a design I drew up...my next one is going to be either a celtic knot or cross (when i can afford it of course!) hope everyone likes!
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ramen in my future... on: March 17, 2005 06:17:31 AM
this is too funny, because just yesterday my bf asked me to knit him a beer cozy for his guiness with a shamrock on it (he's irish)....and then after thinking about it he goes "why don't you just teach me?"

It's a good thing we were on the phone because i think my eyes bugged out of my head Smiley
