So I'm making a kitty tail for a Nyanpire cosplay, but I've hit a snag.  I want to make it poseable though I'm not sure what I should use to make it so.  I thought about using wire but I'm not sure what type I would use and that wouldn't poke a hole in the fabric.  Any ideas?

Lol, I know what you mean, I love hobby lobby but they are kinda lacking in the cute fabric department. But I was there yesterday and they got in their fall fabric collection and I don't know why its considered fall but they have this gorgeous purple satin leopardprint and the leopard print is all velvety, I've been racking my brain trying to find an occasion where wearing a dress made out of it would be appropriate lol.

Did you just use broadcloth? Cuz that's the only thing at hobby lobby I can think of that's bright green. I was thinking of maybe making him out of something soft and fuzzy, maybe a felt or fleece, but not the really fuzzy kind, like the stuff you make recieving blankets out of. I dunno I guess it's just going to depend on what I can find in the right color.

And I will definately share pics when I get around to making him.
It could be an everyday dress, just because you want it to be Tongue
Looking at their website I think that's the kind I used.  I think I know the furry stuff you're talking about, it gets everywhere when you cut it.  I think you could use felt or fleece the color might not be the same but it would still look cute.

That Gir plush is so cute!
Thank you Smiley

Yep that's all you do!  I actually didn't think about making cheeks that way but I think it could work, I'll have to remember that.

You're welcome! Smiley When ever you get around to it I'd love to see it.  I got the fabric at Hobby Lobby, which was actually a surprise since most of the time they never have what I want lol.

Lol yeah, might get kinda scratchy with a real zipper. Oh and how did you make the eyes all bulgey like that?.......If you haven't guessed you've totally inspired me to make one myself.

YAY!!  I made the eyes as separate pieces so I could stuff them with fiber fill.  4 big circles and 2 little ones for the middles.

LOVE IT!!!!! That seriously looks better than the Gir dolls I've seen in stores. Is the zipper just embroidered on?
Thanks!  That's why I wanted to make my own, and since I already had a lot of the stuff I needed it didn't cost me as much  Grin
I just took some felt, drew on it so knew where to sew the lines and then sewed it on by hand.  I thought about using a real zipper, but I didn't think that would be so great to snuggle.

I wanted to make a Gir plush, once I found the fabric I went to town lol.  I made my own pattern.
I also made a little yeti for my sisters birthday (and that fabric + black pants.... not so great, I'm still trying to get it off lol).

Oh yeah, his feet wiggle xD
