1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / Talk About The Swap Process / Can I send two boxes? on: March 30, 2014 10:22:14 AM
I am about to send out for the Common Ground Swap Round 2, and I can't fit everything in one box. Is it ok for me to send two boxes as long as I send them at the same time and provide both tracking numbers? Thanks Smiley
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Tolkien Hoopla on: March 08, 2014 01:44:54 PM
I sent this hoopla to smileyyogini with her favorite quote. It was from the Box of Color Swap. Here is the link to the gallery: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.phptopic=431624.msg5165513#msg5165513
3  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Fabric keeps getting pulled to the right on: February 28, 2014 06:02:26 PM
I'm trying to piece a quilt top, and I'm having some trouble sewing a 1/4" seam. I'm using a brother CS600i with 1/4" piecing foot and a guide. I was able to sew my first block just fine. But when I moved onto my second block, the machine started to pull it towards the right, which is making my seam to large. I was just wondering if anyone had any idea of what I could try. Thanks  Smiley
4  QUILTING / Quilting: Discussion and Questions / Would you recommend this for a beginner? on: February 10, 2014 09:35:46 AM
I am trying to make a Mother's day gift for my mom, and at first I was going to crochet her a blanket, but that didn't go so well. So before I buy the supplies for this quilt, would you recommend this pattern for a beginner? Thanks Smiley
Its the Shortcake pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew.
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Do you think these colors would be to dark together? on: January 29, 2014 07:43:43 AM
They are all Red Heart soft yarn
Dark Leaf
http://www.shopredheart.com/default.aspx?PageID=62&CategoryID=4&ProductID=1995&RootCatCode=01000 (Here is the link for the colors)

I'm planning on making my mom an ripple throw for Mother's Day and I wanted to get it started as soon as possible. I asked her to go on the red heart website and these are the colors she picked. (I didn't tell her what I was making) I just think that these might be to dark together. Do you think it would look ok? Thanks. Smiley
6  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / I want to learn to (blank) swap. on: January 27, 2014 06:58:54 PM
I saw something about one of these on the quiliting board. Does anyone know if there will be another one soon?
7  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Storage Ottoman :D on: January 22, 2014 10:19:49 AM
I just finished this cute little storage ottoman for my dorm, with some help from my Dad (he was afraid I was going to lose a few limbs using the saw...and maybe the drill). The buttons where a pain to get them all to the same depth and my less than stellar sewing skills show with the seam, but overall I'm really happy with it. Cheesy

(the top and the pain in the butt buttons)
(the side)
(the feet)
(erm...my "striaght and even" seam  Tongue)
(inside top, and my puppy)

8  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / String Art on: January 20, 2014 06:09:45 PM
I made some string art for my dorm Smiley I'm really happy with them, the only thing I don't like is the row of unsued nails in the E. I think I'm going to re-do it.
9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Are light blue, light green and brown ok colors for a Father's day card? on: June 07, 2013 07:47:17 PM
This is the link for the paper I'm thinking about using. Does this look ok for a father's day card? I'm not sure if it's to feminine.
Thanks Smiley
10  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / HELP! Advice on punch needle problem. on: April 22, 2013 08:34:45 PM
I am currently working on my first punch needle kit and I ran into an issue. One whole section of the canvas pattern is very loose (from me going over it several times and making mistakes) and now the thread won't attach to this area. I was wondering if I could cut a piece of canvas from the extra around the border and glue it over the loose section.
Thanks in advance.  Smiley
