1  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / My Copy-Cat Bottle of Love :-) on: January 07, 2011 07:29:21 PM
Soo... I got started on my Valentine's Day present reeeally early this year. I decided to copy sweetlullaby's idea (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=249531.0) of making a bottle full of love.

Instead of Love Quotes, I filled it with reasons that I love my boyfriend & lyrics from songs we've dedicated to eachother :-)

Each little scroll was just made from a sheet of computer paper that I cut into 6 pieces. Then I tied a little piece of red curling ribbon left over from Christmas around it.

I removed all of the labels from the bottle, and made my own in Photoshop. My bubbie's favorite wine is Cab Sauv, so that was a tiny nod to him :-)

I think it came out pretty cute :-) The label on the back of the bottle is a tiny bit too big and won't lay flat & I think I'm probably going to add a few more reasons, but besides that... It's awesome <3

Here's a few pictures from the process.

close-up of the back label.

Thanks for looking <3 :-)
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Halter-Babydoll Summer Dress on: May 02, 2005 02:45:15 PM
I started working on this a long time ago when I got the fabric for (2yds/$1.00) out of the remnants box at WalMart, but gave up because I couldn't get it to fit right at first... but I came home from school one day last week, and I was inspired Smiley

Pardon the goofy faces. YAY for my first REAL sewed thing.
3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Lace & Denim Skirt on: March 20, 2005 02:24:49 PM
So, basically, I went to Abercrombie, and saw this incredibly cute skirt... and then I saw the $69+ price tag, and was like, "Screw that," and made my own Smiley

I love this skirt. So much. I'm so proud of myself. My favorite part is the lace in the tears/holes, which you cant really see in the pictures, but yeah.

Thanks for looking Smiley
4  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re-Sized Shirt & 2-Pillowcase Skirt (TUTORIAL added.) on: March 19, 2005 10:18:37 AM
These are my two first recons, and my two first things I've ever sewed period (I got my machine on Thursday) Smiley So dont be too hard on my lack of ability to sew straight lines Smiley

This was a really big shirt my gramma gave me when I was little. I didn't want to throw it away, so I tried to make it smaller...

(my image host lowerd the qualilty of the pics, sorry.)

Another view.

& Here is a skirt I made last night out of 2 pillowcases. I was going to hem the edges, but everyone told me it looked cooler un-hemmed.

Thanks for looking Smiley
