1  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: What weird meals have you made while totally broke? on: October 24, 2011 01:29:45 PM
I spice up a can of vegitarian vegitable soup with whatever I have in the cuboard that I like, nuke it in the microwave to get it HOT(till it's about to boil over), then I drop in a raw egg.  Let that sit, and the egg poaches.  I eat all the broth and veggies first, myself.  May not be all that wierd, but it's cheap(the can of soup is free thanks to local food bank, and eggs are nice and cheap), and quick for me to make up for lunch.  My husband won't touch it, though.  He thinks poached eggs are not safe to eat.

My mother's boss would love that.

I hope you'll be posting the patterns for the other little cuties you made.  My mom loves owls and monkeys, and my younger brother adores frogs, so I'd love to make keychains for them.

Those look great, Wata.  They're all way too cute, and look well made on top of that.

How do you get the crochet work into the tea towel?  My mom used to have a bunch of towels like these, but they've all either gone missing or have fallen apart over the years.  I'd like to make her some new ones, like these pretties you've posted, but I don't know how to get the yarn attached to the towel.
