here are my goodies from A2K!

large zippered pouch with matryoskha fabric!

beautiful black apron with matryoshkas on the pockets!

medium zippered pouch with adorable red matryoshka earrings (they also came in a super cute box with a little nesting doll on top!)

small zippered pouch with little cards and index cards crafted by atsuko for STS30

pin with little nesting dolls from alaska- this is seriously adorable. i put it on my jacket immediately.

everything all together!
it was all packaged up really nicely- the big pouch, held the medium one, and the medium pouch held the smaller one. just like little nesting dolls. thanks again A2K!

And the black scarf is lovely as well - is it the Irish Hiking Scarf? I am knitting one of them in Noro Kureyon for myself at the moment - was thinking of frogging it but I might continue on with it.

yup- the good ol' irish hiking scarf. once i got into the pattern it went by super fast.

i'm glad you liked everything mollymillions!

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / "it's very birdlike" prom dress (IMG HEAVY) on: May 12, 2008 04:16:26 PM
so my friend mike's first reaction to my dress was: "nice cait. it's very birdlike." i feel like that might have something to do with the feathers....

it's a basic strapless dress made of royal blue gabardine and lined with green satin.  there's a zipper in the back as well as a small slit so i can get my groove on.  i then handsewed all the peacock feathers on the front. my mom did my hair and put a bunch of feathers in it.

i actually really lucked out with the peacock feathers- i got 30 of them for $5 at a yard sale.

and we rolled up to prom in a firetruck with the sirens blaring.
