I work in a Health Food Store and we use bags that look like regular plastic, but are biodegradeable, be sure NOT to use bags that degrade. All your work could be for nothing if one layer disappears!

5  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Re: *sigh* machine help needed :( on: May 28, 2007 04:55:10 AM
I tried to find a manual of your machine online, but there doesn't seem to be any, so I'll try it without.

It sounds to me like your tension is too tight, have you tried to loosen the top tension?

Or (this happened to my SIL once) are you using a heavy thread?  When she first got her machine, all she had was buttonhole thread and she couldn't get the machine to do anything the way it was supposed to.

Or, are you using a new needle, try putting in a new one and see what happens.

Good luck.

Thank you!  Thank you!  I adore this fabric, and I can't wait to get started.  I will be cutting the pants out today.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Question for the fashion police on: May 26, 2007 04:41:36 AM
I recently bought some flowered camo fabric to make a pair of cropped pants.  After getting the fabric home I am having doubts about it.  I am overweight and almost 50, my question is will I look ridiculous wearing flowered camo?  Help me please fashion police!

What kind of machine do you have? Make and model.  I'm sure someone here will be able to help you if we have the details.

I have fought with many a machine too.
